"The Shire is in a wonderful location and I would recommend for a short stay. They are in the midst of a renovation and the rooms and exterior are nice and well kept. My only issue was that the coffee bars were not well stocked all the time with the same variety and the ice machine was not well stocked as it ran out of water to produce ice during our 2 night stay. Otherwise, the place and location is wonderful."

Room was cozy (room 6), bed was comfortable, jetted tub was awesome for us not having a tub at home, bar was a nice place to hang out and breakfast was excellent. Location was perfect, it was an easy walk into the center of town, even in winter. Honestly, nothing bad to say."

"The house is adorable and in a fantastic location just up the hill from Woodstock Village. Cozy bed and well-stock house - twice as big as a hotel room and half the price! The host/management company is incredibly kind and responsive at all hours.Only complaint is that the shower / bath tub situation is not great - we had no hot water from the shower for the first 24 hours. The host had a plumber come out to resolve it as best as possible, but we were still left with very little water pressure on the shower, and were unable to make a bath for our baby for the entire stay. Hopefully this can be resolved more completely because the house is otherwise lovely. "
