"I'm not really sure what to say. We arrived at check-in time to be told our rooms weren't ready. A couple who were also waiting told us that the hotel's air conditioning had broken in the rooms. It was blisteringly hot in the UK and we had purposely booked this hotel because it has a/c. Prices were already very high due to the many Goodwood Festival of Speed guests staying and we were in the middle of a heatwave. "Very basic hotel but the room was clean and located in a good area within 10 minutes of Fratton station and close to fast food restaurants and supermarkets Tesco, Aldi and Lidl. "The problems 1 having paid extra for room with a view of the harbour this was completely destroyed by the view if the adjacent flat roof broken tiles and multiple AC units. 2. No Ac unit in this room Windows that effectively didn’t open ( 1/4 in only) Late afternoon sun And someone had left the heated towel rail on Also a winter weight 10.5 tog quilt on the bed. No sheets So obviously the room never cooled down. Having 3 noisy fans was just an indication if problems and were of minimal help"
