Nice little suite, but the bathroom was very tiny. Lightbulb in the bathroom was flashing, so I had to take one from the bedroom to put in there. Staff was very nice and helpful.

This was our first time visiting the island and we knew we wanted to be in walking distance to all the shops and restaurants and beach. The Palmetto Inn is in an amazing location and super convenient. However, the place could really use some upgrades. I had read about the beds being hard as cement and they definitely are. The bedding and towels are basic and not very comfortable. Also, our bathroom was very small. I hope sometime in the future some money and time can be spent enhancing a beautiful, but old, building. I will say the management staff was amazing and only a phone call away when we needed something. Check in was easy at the Boca Grande hotel. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

The building is neat and different. It’s like being in a small apartment complex. The carpeting in the common areas should be replaced, but other than that, the stay was great. We would stay there again. The GM was very nice and easy to speak with.

The Palmetto Inn was so quiet and peaceful. It's an easy walk to the beach and many restaurants. Even though check in happens at a different location, the communication was clear and it was an easy process. We didn't expect a well-stocked kitchen, but it was a nice surprise. Great stay at a clean and cozy old Florida property with modern updates.

Needs update Great location and Management!

Hotel needs a remodel. Pictures on Hotels.com are very old. Room was unsatisfactory but Management quickly made things right and put us in another property and were very professional. Great location, once remodeled this would be a great choice. Is scheduled for remodel this autumn.

The check in experience was super. They went out of their way to accommodate our request to put items in a fridge. The accommodation however needs a 100% gut job. The only positive is location. We joked that they charged us $300.00 too much. The rate was $299.00.

Small bedroom - hard to get into bed, tiny shower. Rest of the unit is nice enough although old, out dated, floors not level. Kitchen woefully under supplied - plenty of (mismatched) dishes and cookware but only 1 dinner plate, 1 spoon, 3 forks, 1 cocktail glass, no wine glasses, a single ice-cube tray. But what did I expect in a bargain unit on such an over-priced island?

Love this location BUT....The stained and musty carpet in the hallway and stairs is just beyond old and nasty. Please replace this...its well over due and it smells. Please update this room for the price paid. The couch in Room 6 (where we stayed) is hard and very uncomfortable (its a hard futon). Sleeping on this is a NO GO. The beach chairs we rented from the Boca Grande Resort (the owners of this property)were so crappy and rusted for what you pay. They ask you wash your own dishes and air dry (which is kind of nasty bc there is nothing to sanitize them with...maybe they sanitize after idk). TV remotes: there are 2 remotes loaded with "options" and ZERO instruction so unless you know exactly what you are doing with this...don't expect guidance. The neighbors to the left are a big dorm of ppl who work there close by I believe, and they were not friendly and very snotty actually. It is clear they don't love visitors.

i HATED having a detached bathroom from our room. Also the bathroom smelled really weird and did not have a fan/ventilation. The wood floors in our room were really sticky. The decor was off. The bed sheets/towels were clean though and it was a great location

Palmetto Inn was perfect for our one night stay in BG. I picked it based on the location, and it was absolutely perfect. We were able to walk everywhere for coffee, meals and the beach. The room was a nice size with a full kitchen which is always nice to have, though not many other amenities. Would definitely book here again!

Horrible experience, I am the care taker to my mother who has bladder cancer and hysterectomy and we couldn't go, but they didn't except that. They did not let us get out of it. It was a horrible horrible experience.

Inconvenience

I was surprised that my studio didn’t have a bathroom inside, it was outside at the end of hall way this was very inconvenient I didn’t feel going by myself in the middle of the night. The AC units made huge noise all night in and off this kept walking us up. Also is made out of wood and any noise or tv you could hear we only stayed one night thank God but it was clean and the space was nice for a couple

Family getaway

We enjoyed our stay the location was perfect. We stayed in the snapper room and were happy to have the mini fridge and private living room also. We rented a golf cart and cruises the island. We will definitely stay again. It’s more of a bed and breakfast than a hotel.
