This is a nice little hotel. Perfect spot for those visiting the town and castle! We were treated promptly and we're well taken care of from getting our bags to the room, to dinner and breakfast recommendations and local sites to see!

I attend the UN Climate meetings in Bonn each year, and have stayed in Bonn and in small towns on both sides of the Rhein, to the south of the city. All places except one have been satisfactory, but this one stands out as special. The aesthetics are simple but pleasing. My room was spacious, especially the bathroom, though this is a renovation project and all rooms may not all be cut to the same size and shape. Everything worked. Even with a shared inner courtyard where neighboring voices could sometimes be heard, the place was still and quiet. It is a short walk to the regional train stop with good service to Bonn. The town truly features the river, and the meaning of it is present to take-in, not by explanation but by what you can see for yourself and the way people are using it in their lives. I'm sure many have said the breakfast is wonderful. But you need to experience that for yourself. I am reluctant to praise this place as much as it deserves, because I would like to return and hope rooms will be available and at the very reasonable price.

If the hustle & bustle of busy Cologne gets to be too much, the lovely town of Königswinter on the banks of the Rhine may prove a relaxing alternative. Das Hotel Krone is in the centre of town about a 5 minute walk from the train station. I’ve stayed here before and been very happy. But, it’s under new management/ownership now and the quality of the experience has increased a lot. The place is clean, the staff are friendly and helpful and the breakfasts are wonderful.

Wir sind Vielreisende und haben noch nie so außergewöhnlich positive Erfahrungen mit Eigentümern/Personal gemacht. Von der persönlichen und sehr freundlichen Begrüßung, über die besten Tipps zu Themen Restaurants/Sightseeing/Ausgehen bis hin zu einem unglaublich guten Frühstück, haben wir uns in diesem, mit sehr viel Liebe geführten, Hotel sehr wohl gefühlt. Wir sind mit den Fahrrädern angereist und wurden direkt vom Eigentümer freundlich begrüßt und mit einem Glas Wasser willkommen geheißen. Nachdem uns die Unterkunft erklärt wurde, wurden unsere Fahrräder sicher untergebracht. Am nächsten Morgen hatten wir ein wunderbares Frühstück (inkl. super Service) und vor Abfahrt bot man uns noch an, die Wasserflaschen aufzufüllen. Ein so freundlicher Service und sehr aufmerksames Personal. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt in diesem gemütlichen Hotel im Herzen von Königswinter. Die Lage ist ideal – nur wenige Gehminuten vom Rhein entfernt und umgeben von vielen guten Restaurants, Cafés und Sehenswürdigkeiten. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir die außergewöhnliche Gastfreundschaft des Hotelbesitzers. Bereits bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir herzlich empfangen, bekamen ein Glas Wasser angeboten und sogar der Koffer wurde auf das Zimmer getragen. Diese persönliche und aufmerksame Art hat uns sofort das Gefühl gegeben, willkommen zu sein. Das Hotel ist sauber, charmant und bietet eine angenehme Atmosphäre zum Wohlfühlen. Wer eine zentrale Unterkunft mit persönlichem Service sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Wir kommen gerne wieder und können das Hotel uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen!

Schönes kleines Hotel in einer sehr gute Lage. 2 Gehminuten zum Rhein, 8 Gehminuten vom Bf entfernt. Vegetarische Frühstück wurde immer frisch aufgetischt und man konnte mehr von allem haben.

Wir waren bereits das 3. Mal seit dem Inhaberwechsel in der Krone und es war wie immer hervorragend. Sehr freundliches Personal und ein sehr gemütliches Haus. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Das Frühstück ist vegan und daher gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber wir wussten ja worauf worauf uns einlassen ;) Alternativ kann man auch einfach ohne Frühstück buchen, schließlich verhungert man in der Altstadt nicht. Wir kommen wieder :)

Da ich geschäftlich da war und wirklich nur eine Übernachtung benötigt habe, war es für mich völlig ausreichend. Auch für den Abend befinden sich in unmittelbarer Nähe Restaurant bei denen man gut bewirtet wird.

Gerne wieder. Super Frühstück.

Ein sehr schönes Hotel ruhig in der Fußgängerzone gelegen. Personal ist sehr freundlich. Das Frühstück hat seine Preis aber den ist es wert. Es ist ein Veganes Gänge Menü, von Herzhaft bis Süß alles dabei. Ich habe noch nie so gut und ausgiebig im Hotel gefrühstückt. Gerne wieder.

Fijne kamer, netjes en compleet. Hele goede service bij in- en uitchecken. Bijzondere ontbijtervaring met enkel plantaardig eten en heel vriendelijke service. Echt een aanrader! Alleen de locatie iets minder in een wat oud aandoende straat.
