We were greeted by a wonderful ladybwhonwas full of smiles, verybfriendly and appeared tonreally enjoy her job. She showed us to our room and left us to unpack. "The property in a previous life would have been amazing. It is very run down and needs a complete update. Staff were nice.Breakfast was ok We asked if we could have the radio on as it was so quiet in the dining room but that was broken as well. Unfortunately our room was not ideal. The bed had a mattress with springs popping out very uncomfortable. The bathroom had loose taps. The wiring left a lot to be desired and it had lots of cobwebs. The grounds were nice but again they needed some attention.They did take some money off the bill due to intermittent internet and the tv not working.It was a real shame as the photos make it look lovely. It was an ideal location for us but just not up to scratch."
