"Very friendly staff, hot tub wasn’t up to temp on our arrival but staff were very apologetic and we were not charged for it that evening. The Lodge was very clean, good quality bedding and toiletries."

Every member of staff we met were warm and friendly and the cooked breakfast was superb. Appledore is such a lovely destination and a stay at the Royal George makes it all the more special. "Staff were very lovely and the included breakfast was very welcome. Very convenient if staying for a wedding at the local venue as it was a 5 minute walk away. Plenty of parking and lovely surroundings. Would stay again."

"This shepherd's hut is in a very remote area. Some difficulty traversing the narrow country roads to get there. The view was lovely and the host friendly and accomodating. The bed was high and we, in our mid seventies, had to assist each other in and out each time. All in all, despite the wet, windy weather, we had a sheperd's hut experience which we could not have in Canada. I think it would have been a nice area to enjoy in warmer, more pleasant weather."
