This is an incredible experience, excellent design and fun place to stay. The onsite bar was cool, and the service friendly and happy, but be prepared for a leisurely dinner.

This is very unique stay in Buffalo. It is located within walking distance two The Burchfield Penny Art Center and the Buffalo AKG. The historic context of this building was fascinating, and the room was very comfortable. A great stay!

Enjoyed our stay at the Richardson. Unfortunately, my partner was ill for much of it and we stayed mostly in the room, which was very comfortable. Staff was lovely and the building was really cool.

We really liked this hotel! It felt kind of upscale and historic! Bed was comfy. Just wish the bathroom had better lighting and the room had a fridge and a small table for 2 to eat at comfortably. We would stay here again, but would have to check if other rooms have the fridge and table.

Staying at The Richardson Hotel was an absolute highlight of my trip! The architecture of this National Historic Landmark is completely breathtaking, and they have done an incredible job blending its history with modern comforts. The rooms are quiet, spacious, and uniquely styled.

We loved staying in this beautifully restored building. The public areas are restored and the rooms are updated. Everything is clean, staff are friendly and helpful. Would like if the bar area was larger but it served its purpose. The grounds are nice. Location is convenient to the AKG, Delaware Park, and local eateries. I recommend!

This hotel is in a beautifully restored and updated historic landmark building. The rooms are very well-appointed with quality furnishings. Restaurant and staff are excellent, and it's in a great location with nice shops and restaurants nearby. We wish we had time to enjoy the grounds, which were designed by Olmstead. If I need to overnight in Buffalo anytime soon, I can't imagine staying anywhere else.

We heard about this property from friends. The fact that they repurposed the old State Insane Asylum was unique, but they have turned it into a wonderful property and preserved the memories of many of the patients who stayed there! We loved it. Also the breakfast was moderately priced and excellent quality.

This stay was exceptional. It was such a unique experience and really cool location to have this hotel. Beautiful grounds that we were able to walk around and even a delicious steak dinner right at the hotel. The front desk staff was extremely helpful and even ordered the food for us when we checked in.. 5 Stars all the way. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We enjoyed the history of the hotel as a former asylum. There was so much history to explore on the grounds and in the building. Our original stay was for 2 nights but we extended our stay by an extra night to take advantage of the hard hat tour of the rest of the asylum buildings. The building architecture is amazing. We are enjoying our stay.

Everything was unique about it. The stuff from the restaurant and bar lounge were amazing. The food was just perfect. Breakfast was fantastic. I just wish that the hotel would have at least a mini fridge in the room. Otherwise, a real pleasant and amazing property. Can’t wait to go back again with my family.
