"Cahel Pech is a great affordable option in San Ignacio. The pool setup is a fun amenity and meals were delicious and reasonably priced. The hotel was happy to set us up with tours and local drivers too. On a Saturday night, the local town partied loudly until 3am but I can't really fault the hotel for that. The room could be improved with a new mattress and pillows. The view of the town is super nice and there's even a local bunny that is super friendly! Staff is top notch."

"We had a pleasant stay, the staff was very helpful and friendly, room was clean and a good size, bed was comfortable, towels were soft. We appreciated the ability to park our car on site. The room had a mini fridge which was nice, and the air conditioning was great. Easy walk to restaurants. Overall a good stay"

"It was a great little oasis atop a hill (a very steep hill) but a cheap taxi ride from town. The grounds were beautiful and serene. So many different varieties of plants beautifully landscaped. The pool wasn't too inviting. The lounge chairs were few and a couple of them were broken. They were setting up new lounge chairs on our last day there. Maybe we just caught them at a bar time. The staff were very friendly but the restaurant/bar do not serve all day. Between end of breakfast and 4:00pm you can not get refreshments at the hotel. It didn't matter too much because we went on excursions but coming home at 3 and all you want is a drink by the pool. The menu is limited but it'll do for a quick breakfast. Paula the concierge was very friendly and helpful in booking everything for us."

"West House is centrally located. Great staff, modern large rooms, good bathroom. No food options available but restaurants nearby. Would highly recommend."

"We loved our stay here. The staff were so helpful. It was nice that we could order our breakfast ahead of time so that it was ready even if we had a tour to get to. It was a bit of a ways from town but we walked there for lunch once. It was also easy and cheap to coordinate a taxi to town if you prefer. The property was beautiful and we even got free coconuts. at the pool one day. "

"We loved this place and wished we would have stayed longer. I have been to San Ignacio many times and have stayed in overpriced Jungle Lodges and budget hotels and this will be my go to. We were with another couple and stayed in a 2 bedroom with a private pool. The place is spotless, beautifully decorated, the full kitchen had everything you could and the rooftop pool was just right to sit with a glass of wine and look out at the surrounding hills. The bed was so comfortable I slept like a baby. You do need a car though it's not walkable to restraunts or town."

"Great house. Each room has ac but no ac in main house, but lots of fans and good breeze through kitchen windows. Kitchen labeled well to know where things are. You can park in front of the house but is at an angle, or inside gated driveway. No back deck or chairs out front for the porch. We stood on the front porch watching a thunderstorm and lightning with some awesome rainfall. Beds are a little on the firm side, but not hard. The host has some notebooks with great local info, a cell phone for the house for local calls. There are a few games like Uno and Jenga. Good location, close to a store, not really great for walking but good for driving."
