Within minutes, Joe the groundskeeper arrived with fresh coconuts with straws for them to drink. Carlos the night time security guard was so friendly and helpful. "MaxRooms is nicely located, less than 5 minutes walk from the market and an ATM. The staff were really helpful and the food at the restaurant downstairs was really good and budget friendly. The room was dated but it was clean, had hot water, and good internet. All in all, you get great value for what you are paying for. I would stay again at MaxRooms and from San Ignacio, you can visit Cahal Pech, Xunantunich, Baracol, the ATM and Barton creek caves."

"Wifi was spotty when it worked, Basically locked in at night. Room key doesn't fit security gate, but managed to get it open so we could go out at 6am. No staff around to open it, I wasn't trying to be quiet about it either."
