"Room was clean although housekeeping seemed sporadic and needed little reminder notes to replenish coffee and tea. Unfortunately there was a lot of concrete work being done behind the hotel, providing lots of noise to wake up to."

"The lobby was spectacular. Three staff members at the desk ready to check in customers or just ready for any questions/ concerns. They were accommodating from helping us maneuver through the property on the floor zero to get to the nearby station to letting us leaving our luggage at the lobby area on our check our day. Rooms were more than enough for two people. We had a two twin bed and they were put together to make one bed. The desk was a nice perk for the room as there was a mirror that would fold up and down attached to the desk to help get ready to put on makeup or to use if you have to work. Bathroom was spectacular in terms of cleanliness. Sink is a bit small but made it work. The only flaw is the water in the shower may get out because the shower door is completely flushed to the door or shower wall. So be sure to keep a towel on the bathroom floor at the shower entrance so water doesn’t get on there. Other than that it’s a hotel I’ll come to again. AC was available so big plus. The water and milk for coffee being refilled everyday is a big plus too. The bar and restaurant in the lobby area make for good spots to congregate for coworkers, family, friends, or whoever."

"Market Street Hotel was a wonderful home base for our stay in Edinburgh. We had a "roomy room," with plenty of space to move around. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and they had thick window shutters to keep it quiet in a busy part of town, which we appreciated. All mini bar offerings were included in our rate. It is conveniently located across the street from Waverly train station. Would highly recommend!"

"The staff was very helpful! Could leave luggage early and it was delivered to our room. Clearly the Dog House was about making everyone comfortable. The free beer for using towels more than once was fun... Never heard one bit of sound from the bar area! Oh and so close to everything if you are walking and using the trains!"
