"Beautiful place!"

"The pool was the star of this resort, it is big with two waterslides and the kids loved it. The apartments were a little dated but spacious, the kitchen is quite small which makes it difficult to cook. The air con was really noisy, very difficult to sleep with it on. Staff were wonderful and so friendly. We had the best time in Palm Springs and loved sitting by the beautiful pool- would definitely come back! "

"First the good. Nice staff. My room was clean and had a good bed. Now the bad (well, terrible). This property is a mess- it's falling apart. People who have reviewed it recently have really understated just how run down and sad this place is. It was totally understaffed during my stay- I felt like there were 4 housekeepers for the entire place. My room was never serviced during the 3 day stay. The halls looked like they hadn't been vacuumed in a week. There were dirty room service dishes on the floor of the hallway the entire stay. The pool furniture was rusty and the cabana we rented had stained furniture and tears in the roof. There were no pool towels available more often than not. I saw out of order signs on three ice machines. The gym had no weights under 35 pounds and we were told "someone stole the dumbbells". The vibrant exterior paint was faded and dull, the interior paint was scuffed and the walls looked dirty. I stayed here years ago and it was a bummer to see it like this. The saving grace was my room was clean and the staff were pleasant even though wait times to get drinks or food were very long. The place is cheap, so there is that, I suppose, but I would never pay for the Saturday room rates at a place in this condition (we stayed Sunday- Wednesday) It just really needs to be closed for a complete overhaul. They did comp the resort fees when I talked to the very sweet man at the front desk when checking out (again, great staff) so that helped. Truth telling."

"Transferred here for a night after extending our trip and Ritz Carlton not being able to extend our nights. We wish we’d come here instead. Great adults only resort, chilled, old Palm Springs feel. No competitive sport chase for a sunbed by the pool - everyone is accommodated. Lovely grounds. Don’t be put off by the roadside location! You would never know! "

"Love staying at the V. Located on the best side of Palm Springs, love having one of the rooms with the private patio and swing. The pools are perfect for that Palm Springs getaway. "

"Staff was pleasant and helpful. Parking easy. Room was clean but rooms need updating. The gym is actually nice but smells terrible. I hate carpet nowadays just me. Dispenser for soap etc was either broke or not full but didn’t matter since we always carry our own and are particular. We could deal w the negatives because of the positives which are you have 2 really good places to eat onsite right next to the pool the Reef and Sanchos. Reef has fantastic food burgers sandwiches and drinks. Reef has best mocktail menu for kids and will make virgin daiquiris and pina coladas. All drinks were good. Sanchos has really good Mexican food and carne asada is tender and flavorful and omg their mango margarita and michelada were bomb. Very fresh food. The Patio Mexican restaurant downtown didn’t compare to Sanchos food or service and staff in my opinion. Hotel pool was so warm. They actually heat their pool they don’t just advertise that they do. The pool doesn’t close until late so we swam daytime and after doing things like the Tram we were able to swim at night. Kids had such a good time w the mocktails pool and hot tub. A lot of families and family oriented people there and lots of shade! And cool water misters all around the pool which was fantastic. "
