Renovated dog friendly cottage with a covered porch deck yard and washer dryer

"Overall we enjoyed our stay. Here’s some pros and cons from our small group. Pros: quiet neighborhood location, comfortable beds, fenced yard for dogs, nicely renovated, large dining area, washer and dryer, good sized bathroom, air conditioning in main living space, nothing to do at check out - makes the early check out time totally worth it. Cons: keypad would not work for us so we had to contact the host to access the key, the sofa is not comfortable and not enough living room seating for a group of 4, there is only 1 fan for the bedrooms but they get hot and stuffy at night (bring your own fan). The cooking equipment was super basic, but enough to get you by, we always bring our own pans and cooking utensils."

"Good communication with the host. They were timely in their response.The house is located in a secluded area on Netarts Bay. The bay is muddy and the trail to the bay is a little wonky, but that was expected as it’s in a wooded area. You can see the bay through the trees and the big picture windows.The house is older, but worked for us. One of the reviews reported a musty smell in the lower level. It smelled like we were on the ocean. Being an older home this was not surprising. The house could have used more cleaning between families. Vacuuming the corners and under the couch cushions was needed. Otherwise the house was clean and ready to go.Two bedrooms with queen beds in the main house, with a family room and tv/game room. The bedrooms have their own bathrooms. The tv/game room has a large couch and futon. The family room has a couch and two chairs. No TV in the family room. The dining room seats 6. The kitchen is equipped with cooking and serving things, but they are older and mismatched. We did not cook, but we did do cold breakfasts and purchased paper plates and utensils so we didn’t have to do dishes after each meal. The casita, as they called it, has double bed, couch hide a bed, a kitchenette and a full bathroom. It was cute and simple.Overall this was a nice place and off the beaten path which is what we prefer."

"the crab shack has its ups and downs but it has a beautiful view and lovely sunsets. the kitchen is pretty well stocked with stuff. I always take my pans I cook in a lot and my knifes. I like sharp knifes to peel potatoes. all in all it was good."

"I challenge you to find a better view: giant windows in the living room and bedroom provide entertainment all day in any type of weather. This unit and one more share the stairs to the 2nd floor and the neighbors go past those big windows, but there was no one home for most of our monthlong visit. The walk to the bay beach is easy: down to ground level, across the small parking lot, and down a few steps. Normal passenger cars should have no problem; if your vehicle is super tall or long it might be tricky. Kitchen was small but fully functional and well stocked with equipment. Bed very comfortable, plenty of pillows. Hanging closet space is small. We were able to stow our soft luggage under the bed. We found fellow condo residents to be great: knowledgeable about the region and friendly. Owner very easy to communicate with. We'd happily stay again, maybe to see the view in a different season."
