"We stayed here for five nights with our two older children. Home is beautiful, clean, well stocked, and has gorgeous ocean views and breeze. There is something special about staying on the south end of the island, away from the tourist traps of the north. With the help of our golf cart (which i suggest is a required amenity if you book), we had a chance to explore the entire island and really get to enjoy the local food and culture. Owners will refer a terrific concierge (Lupita), who can arrange all of your transportation, day trips, and activities. One of our highlights was a simple food tour we did by golf cart thr evening of our arrival. It gave us a chance to find some hidden gems that we never would have found on our own."

"I booked through Expedia and paid in full or so I thought. At check-in I'm told there is a environmental fee right then. Nothing about that was listed on the website about this additional. I don't like being taken advantage of and I think everyone who checks in here is. If it's a legit fee why not have it in your booking or forewarn of it in the listing? As for the room it was big and air conditioned. The water in the sink and shower is salty due to it being right on the beach. And the toilet only flushed half the time."

"Wonderful family stay at Casa Azul Maya! We did have a ground floor room which was a bit more humid - but the AC kept it cool and it was fine for all of us. Beds were comfortable, staff helpful and room was cleaned everyday with fresh bath and beach towels as needed. The partnership with Loretta’s was perfect; amazing breakfasts, access to pool and ocean were picturesque. South side of the island is much calmer and slower pace -with great food, coffee and Punta Sur—- we’d come back in a heart beat. "
