"The entrance and lobby at this hotel are simply gorgeous, a real attention to detail makes this a welcoming environment. The rooms are spacious and clean, and although the balconies are small, they do provide a lovely view. The solarium area and sunbathing spaces are ample and both pools were refreshing. The pool bar has lots of options and a nice food menu. Overall, having stayed in 5 or 6 hotels in the vicinity, Hotel Alay has proved to be my favourite and actually great value for money...

"Check in was very easy as was gaining access to the room. The room was very clean, although could do with redecoration. The air conditioning barely worked. There were two security issues 1. the patio door lock was broken and replaced by a hook and eye, with only one loose screw securing it. 2. the room safe did not seem to work, although it did seem to have new batteries. Except for these, i would have given full marks for the price. "
