"We had a very pleasant stay in Hotel Suizo, and recommend this hotel for visitors. It was great value and is in a very convenient location in the Gothic Quarter. The reception staff was friendly and helpful, and the cleaning staff kept our room very clean. The hotel is an easy walk to many restaurants and attractions (such as the Cathedral of Barcelona) and there is a metro station in front of the hotel's entrance. If you're coming from the airport via Aerobus, the hotel is a 12 min walk from Plaça de Catalunya, on pretty even brick road. While we did not have breakfast at the hotel, we enjoyed coffee at the cafe on the main floor. The rooms are a bit small but was enough for our needs (we were out and about during the day for most of our stay). While there was no coffee/tea bar or hot water kettle, we had a mini fridge. Our room had A/C control and a small balcony with a nice view. The only downsides I can think of are: noise from outside - I found that even with the windows closed, you can occasionally hear people talking/laughing/singing as they pass by on the street at night. This didn't bother us much as we just accepted it as a consequence of being near a main/busy street, but if you're a light sleeper, I recommend bringing some earplugs. The other downside is the shower temperature - the temperature controls were a bit odd and sometimes, the water didn't get very hot. However, it was usable and was not a problem once you got used to it."

"The location of the hotel was ideal for the length of our stay and the areas and activities we were doing. The room was very basic. It was large enough to have accommodated having a couch or other seating options beside just the beds and a single kitchen-type chair, which would have made the stay better. The bathroom was strangely designed and awkward to enter but adequate. We appreciated an early check-in but the room hadn’t been fully cleaned so we had to ask for anew bath at and towels. We also appreciated the later (1 PM) check-out. However, the front desk did not communicate this with the cleaning staff who entered at 11:30 AM and wanted us to vacate."

"Thanks to Edvin and the rest of the front desk team. The hotel’s located in the center of a very busy and popular square. Numerous shops and restaurants available. We felt safe walking around. There was some concerns about being able to get transportation to the port for our cruise. We just had to walk a short distance down to the circle by the Colom statue. Be aware that there’s a €25 taxi surcharge added to get to the port. The prepaid breakfast was worth it."
