We had a wonderful family holiday here. The villa is beautiful, with stunning views over the vineyards and forest, and the pool was a real highlight. It comfortably accommodated our large group. One thing to note is the layout: there are two bedrooms downstairs and three upstairs, with each level having its own kitchen and bathrooms. This worked well for us but is worth considering if travelling with young children. Our hosts were responsive, quickly providing an extra fan and additional pool towels when requested. We visited in late June/early July during temperatures in the mid to high 30s C. Without air conditioning, it was very difficult to keep the villa cool overnight despite shutters and multiple fans. The biggest downside was loud bass music from across the valley on four consecutive nights, typically from around 9pm until as late as 4am. We weren’t aware of this before booking, and it would have influenced our decision. The listing notes that consumables aren’t provided, so be aware this includes toilet paper—bring your own. We’d suggest providing one roll per bathroom for arriving guests.A few maintenance items also need attention: loose toilet seats and door handles, a bathroom door that wouldn’t close properly, a partially working downstairs oven, and a gas hob that needed a lighter and often went out. The pool was fantastic, although the water chemistry may need checking as some towels and clothing became yellowed.Overall, a lovely stay in a beautiful setting.
