"Overall, experience was really great. The air-conditioning worked great, the room was clean. The bed was soft and comfortable to sleep on. There was a beautiful ocean view that I could see from my bed. It was in walking distance to everything, restaurants and bars and the beach so the location was ideal. It was definitely a good choice for my birthday weekend. I would recommend this hotel and stay there again. "

"Room was super outdated. There was an portable ac in our room that did not cool the room at all, the original ac was leaking. Our room was located on the 4th floor however we had to walk past a series of trash can to get to our door. We stayed one night and we received a text at 9pm stating we had complaints of being too loud, we are a family of 3 and our daughter was fast asleep at this time. I advised the employee that maybe they meant to send it to the people below us as we could hear them cackling down the staircase that connected to the down stairs room. However other than that the employees were super polite and helpful when interacting with them. "

"I had an amazing stay at the Pavilion Hotel on Catalina Island and would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Avalon. From the moment we arrived, the experience felt welcoming and well-organized. The location is perfect—just steps away from the beach, shops, and restaurants, which made it incredibly convenient to explore everything without needing transportation. The rooms were very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The beds were cozy, and everything felt fresh and relaxing after a long day out on the island. Housekeeping did a great job keeping everything spotless throughout our stay. The Wi-Fi worked well, which was a plus, especially when trying to plan activities or stay connected. One of the highlights of the stay was the hotel’s courtyard—it’s beautiful, peaceful, and a great place to unwind. The fire pits in the evening were a really nice touch and created a relaxing atmosphere. It made the whole experience feel more special and memorable. The staff was friendly, professional, and always willing to help. Whether we had questions about the area or needed assistance, they were quick to respond and made sure we felt taken care of. Customer service definitely stood out. Overall, the Pavilion Hotel exceeded my expectations. It’s a great combination of comfort, convenience, and atmosphere. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway on Catalina Island."

"For the most part it was a great experience. Check in was later than I had expected. It was at 4pm but I was able to go do some activities and come right back. I like that they had beach floaties and beach towels available so we were able to borrow them and return without any problems. What I didn’t like it that the walls are way tooo thin. So you can hear people walk and closing doors. Made it difficult to sleep. Overall 4 star "
