"Requested earlier check in and staff were able to accommodate and good service. No air conditioning in the room as broken, but there was a little electric heater that did the job. Bathroom very clean, Loved the bath tub and very powerful shower. The room was generally clean, but could really do with a deep clean to remove dust. Had to clean along headboard myself as very dusty. Overall was lovely & would stay again. "

"The breakfast has a good selection. The main areas of the hotel are nice but the rooms are very tired and need a refurb. It was disappointing not being able to get any food at 8.45pm. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. "

"It was a last minute booking my car broke down when I was leaving town. They were so nice, felt right at home in the pub with the staff and customers. The room had thoughtful touches many places don’t. Amazing selection of drinks in the pub. I had dinner there I think the mussels were the best I’ve ever had. Amazing sauce. Completely recommend it."

"New parking charge of £10 per day. Ants in bedroom, pool locker jammed and had to wait 25 mins to get clothes etc and asked for a towel to be told to use the hairdryer to warm myself. No plug in wash hand basin. Feel that hotel has been let to run down lately. Food expensive !!! "

"Check in was good and easy and the restaurant was great. The rib-eye steak was amazing! Hotel room was good size but a little dated and extremely cold. The heating was only working for less than a minute and then it goes off. I tried to turn on severally but it wouldn’t turn on for another maybe 5 minutes or so then on less than a minute and then off. I struggled with cold through out the night. I was in room 6 for a night."
