"When booking with Expedia, you have to be very careful as to the room that you book. I booked a deluxe queen room and in the picture and description it was a large room. When we arrived they told us that they could do an early check in andasked us if it was just the two of us which we agreed, and we were given an extremely small room actually, the smallest washroom I’ve ever seen out in a hotel. When our friends checked in and booked after us with our information and the same type of room, they receive the type of room that we had seen online and actually booked when I complained to the hotel saying this was unfair. They told me they didn’t have one available and therefore couldn’t move us. It was very disappointing that we paid the same price and we were in a room that was 1/3 the size. They also added the excuse that the rooms vary in this hotel under that room category. I don’t think that any customer should pay the same price for a room. That’s basically a birdcage compared to the other room. How do we not have this very poor experience, but could not be resolved to any satisfaction then I probably would’ve given this property a five star rating. The valet staff and housekeeping were amazing."

"This hotel is no-frills for sure. It’s great if you are looking for a place to lay your head, but nothing else. It is very clean, quiet and in a great location. The staff was also very friendly. The only negatives were: no fridge in the bedroom, no vending machines onsite and a really small bathroom. These are all things easily overlooked for the price and location. I would stay here again."

"Room was clean. TV didn’t have great connection, tried to watch the Stanley Cup playoff game and it cut out frequently. "

"The air conditioning in the room did not work. After a request to maintenance, it remained unchanged. The current & ongoing remodeling and construction was impactful to the reservation. Best to avoid while renovations continue."

"I requested a fragrance free room and the staff I spoke to before the stay and also the person at the front desk confirmed it, but the room was VERY strong smelling. I have a fragrance allergy so this is a health issue for me - it made me sick and I wouldn't stay here again. "
