"We have been visiting Carey’s manor for the last 25 years. In our opinion it just gets better. There are 2 restaurants currently on site, with a 3rd due to reopen later in the summer. We ate at the Zen Garden restaurant this time, and was excellent. The Senspa is well worth a visit and the treatments are expensive but worth it. The location in Brockenhurst is very convenient, with pubs, restaurants and shops within walking distance. Also lots of walking routes from the hotel."

"Super hotel, part of a chain we've used before. Great room a deluxe double, plenty of space and they do service the room each day unlike this new disgusting habit other hotels have started to save costs. Good dinner, bit pricey but otherwise good and very good breakfast at a reasonable price. Staff great , Amy a star at b'fast ; Eloise (?) a star behind the bar. Nice well equipped garden to sit out in these warm evenings, not too sure about the neighbour playing his bagpipes. Cross the road direct into the woods & heathland of the New Forrest, fabulous walks but take a good OS map. 20 minute walk into Brockenhurst with loads of good pubs and restaurants"

Holiday Inn Express Portsmouth - Gunwharf Quays by IHG

"Lovely stay in Gunwharf Quays. Room was spacious and clean. Staff are friendly and breakfast was delicious and filling. Car parking is in the Gunwharf Quay car park, once you validated your ticket in the hotel you get 24hrs free then £2 per day after. This is really good otherwise it would have cost £28."

Orange Grove Hotel & Gardens

"We stayed during the recent heatwave and were put in rooms at the top of the main building which were unbearably hot. The windows could not be opened fully and the small fans were ineffective. I was surprised that the hotel would even suggest putting residents in these rooms without taking action to cool them down - they were unreasonably hot. We also had dogs with us and could not have had them in the room for any significant period without it being dangerous to their health. I complained as we went to dinner (we had arrived at around 7.30 pm) Kieran in reception seemed surprised that I had a serious issue with the situation and was uncertain what action to take. Fortunately we mentioned it to Kelsey in the restaurant who leapt into action and arranged to take two air conditioning units out of the "pods" in the garden and move them up to the rooms. By the time we had eaten the room temperature had dropped to a more manageable level. I do not think the we would have been able to stay at the hotel if Kelsey had not taken action to resolve the situation. She was a star. Our meal was excellent, and overall it was a good stay."

"Excellent hotel, convenient location, good air conditioning, really good food at the restaurant. Aside from one slightly stroppy lady behind the bar, the staff were attentive and helpful. The only thing I didn't like was having to pay additional for parking in the hotel car park."

"Room was really clean and cosy nice. Bar and TVs were great. staff not so helpful my wife asked late staff the way to the toilet and he replied follow the signs ☺️"
