Great get away

My daughter and I went down to Charleston to look at the college and do some shopping. Our hotel was terrible so we found this charming place. It was perfect for what we needed.

Great intown cottage

Our stay in this cottage was great! The location is convenient to the historic area. It is a bit of a walk if you are going all the way to the Battery, but the free trolley stop is nearby. The cottage is perfect for a couple. It is very well-stocked with everything you need for a stay. We would definitely stay there again.

Property was as advertised. Of note, the remote for the TV is missing. But we were too busy to spend time watching anything. The kitchen was adequately supplied, with the one exception that there were no garbage bags. Overall it is a lovely property, typical of Charleston which has aged well. I would recommend this property to a couple who do not intend to hang out at the house but use it as a base to explore all the area has to offer.

Awesome stay!

My husband and I celebrated our 19th wedding anniversary in Charleston and the cottage was perfect for our stay. We parked our vehicle there and didn’t move it again until we left! We brought our bikes and were able to get everywhere downtown we wanted to go easily on bikes and on foot! The cottage was charming, clean and comfortable and the perfect size for us! We would definitely stay there again!

Quaint comfortable cottage

I was in town visiting relatives and stayed at this enchanting cottage. The neighborhood was safe and I thoroughly enjoyed my morning walks. Coffee shop was less than a half mile away and the neighborhood restaurants were perfect. The cottage was clean, well maintained and had everything I needed. The interior was furnished well and fit the style of the dwelling. I would definitely stay here again!!

Perfect place, perfect location!!

My wife and I stayed here on a beautiful fall weekend and couldn't have been more impressed. The cottage is small and quaint, but appointed perfectly for a couple's weekend getaway. Very charming. What we never expected is how awesome the location was. It is off the beaten path of King street and the market (but still within walking distance), but it is right near some of the best places to eat and hang out on Cannon street! Hominy Grill (our favorite), Fuel Tacqueria, a several other world class restaurants are just a stones throw away, while still being tucked a few blocks away from the college scene. Lois was so accommodating and pleasant to communicate with as well. Stay here, you won't be disappointed!

Nice carriage house, cool area, perfect stay!

We had a really good time at this nice carriage house. It's about a 10 min walk from Charlestons main shopping-/dining-/drinking-street King Street. Granted - into the innermost Historic District you might need some more minutes - but why is there a free trolley?!? The house was roomy for two, clean and had all ameneties. We could not have been mor happy with everything!!! The communication with Lois was as easy as possible, everything was perfectly set up for our stay. The area is safe and nice - there are some really good and definitely recommendable restaurants/cafés just around the corner: especially the following - Hominy Grill, Fuel, Sugar. All three: not to be missed. We would definitely come again - because not only the carriage house was perfect, but Charleston is such an awesome and beautiful city!!

Wonderful house, privacy and location, but a bit warm

The privacy, location, convenience of nearby stores and historic Charleston was very nice. It was a quiet, walkable neighborhood, so having a car was not necessary if you wanted to see the local shops and restaurants. The only complaint was that the bedroom on the upstairs floor got quite warm during the day, and the AC couldn't keep up. The ground floor was very cool and the air well circulated, but the upstairs gets several degrees warmer during the summer and can feel stuffy in the summer humidity and heat.

Location was perfect!

Location was perfect, super walkable. Fuel Cantina and Holey City Bagels were conveniently close-by. Food was great everywhere we visited. Downtown Charleston including all attractions were within walking distance for us (could be a bit long for others who aren’t walkers)…it was a beautiful, pleasant walk to and from. Charleston City Market, The Lost History of Black Charleston walking tour led by historian and educator Damon Fordham, and Folly Beach were among my favorite experiences. My friend enjoyed the wine complimentary of the Vrbo, which was a nice way to cap off our wonderful stay in Charleston. We both thoroughly enjoyed our visit and look forward to returning. Oh and the mattress was super comfortable. We slept well.

Cute cottage

Be careful of the kitchen door it opens by itself. Needs a deadbolt. Also there is no bathroom upstairs and no way to turn the stairway light off or on from upstairs. Otherwise very clean.
