Charming house of the nineteenth, restored in the style of Périgord.

"Nous avons passé une très bonne semaine dans cette jolie maison au calme. Le mieux c’est le salon qui est la pièce au rez-de-chaussée qui reste fraiche ; nous étions sur une semaine de canicule donc c’était fort appréciable ! Le reste de l'habitation qui est à l'étage est très bien aménagé, il ne manque rien. La terrasse est également très agréable et sans vis à vis. La vue depuis les chambres est belle et dégagée. Rien à redire sur la maison qui est en plus géographiquement bien placée. Notre hôte Nathalie est charmante et de bons conseils pour passer un excellent séjour. Je recommande sans hésitation."

"This house was perfect for our family with 2 teenagers. The bedrooms all have ensuite bathrooms and the kitchen is fully stocked. I enjoyed sitting in the back garden under the grape vines watching the House Martins flying overhead on the limestone cliffs. The house is centrally located. It is a short srive to Sarlat and Grotte de Font-de-Gaume, among many other sights. We spent one day canoeing down the Dordogne which offered views of nearby castles and cliffs. There is a medieval street just behind the property with stunning views of the river valley. Our host was warm and welcoming."

"La maison offre un hébergement idéal pour profiter du "Triangle d'or" du Périgord Noir. Elle est idéalement située, au coeur du village de La Roque Gageac, avec une vue splendide dont les deux terrasses permettent de profiter. Les volumes sont agréables pour quatre personnes, avec sa distribution sur trois niveaux. La communication avec Delphine et Pascal est fluide. Ils sont tous deux très à l'écoute des besoins des locataires. Je recommande."

"Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans le gîte des propriétaires. Le jardin (en partie privatisée) et la piscine sont indéniablement un plus. Le gîte est petit mais fonctionnel et on s’y sent bien . Manquerait juste un four. Autrement très bien placé , nous avons pu découvrir cette belle région ."

"Our family had a wonderful time at La Bourgarde. Christian was incredibly responsive for our questions before and during the stay. The proximity to the upper and lower village was a huge plus, but still being tucked away made us feel like we were in the countryside. The pool was amazing to retreat to in the afternoons following our daily exploration of the area and I was able to use the grill while my children swam. Really perfect."

"What a fantastic stay in Beynac! The Petite Chateau was exactly as described in the listing. It was an ideal location for our stay in the Dordogne. It was very convenient for canoeing, seeing the castles and forts, and checking out Sarlat. It was the perfect size for our family of four with two teenage boys. The air-conditioner was perfect for keeping it a cool temperature in the house for the very hot days we had. Vincent, the owner, was so responsive in our booking process and the local property managers were also excellent. If we are so lucky to ever return to this region, we would absolutely stay there again and recommend it very highly."

"This is an amazing property; the view is simply magical! We spent every morning on the terrace for breakfast watching the canoeists on the Dordogne and enjoying the view of the chateaux. The pool was a godsend in the heat. Martine was extremely kind and helped us settle in. I scrubbed up on my GCSE French and we got by brilliantly. Beynac is a beautiful village, in an area full of beautiful villages and towns. A must do experience!"

"Lovely old house, with fabulous views across the valley from the terrace. There were swallows nesting under the eaves which added to the countryside charm. The house was clean and comfortable, with shutters to keep it cool during the day. The kitchen was great, very well equipped, everything we needed. The host lives nearby and was very helpful with restaurant recommendations and suggestions for activities. We loved the pool, shared with the other gîte next door. Our gîte had it's own parking space which was a bonus. Thank you Thibault "

"The host was excellent, recently taken over this property but experienced host elsewhere. Breakfast was plentiful. Useful kitchen area for your own preparations. Multiple places around the property to sit in comfort. The weather was extremely hot, we had ground floor Josephine Baker room. The walls are super thick and the aircon amazing quiet and discreet was truly welcome cool space. The pool was clean with plenty of shaded recliners. Easy steps down into the water."
