Weird showers in the rooms in the buildings away from the main house and very warm at night. Good food at both breakfast and evening.
Would stay again

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities
Room was clean and amenities such as the pool and gym were great. Great breakfast. Room was disappointing- small bed which was also on wheels so moved around and rubbish underneath the bed. No a/c just a small fan so room was warm. Easy check in process but given no information about the stay such as breakfast times. We were given an accessible room so the bathroom was disappointing and lock on the door completely broken - fell apart when trying to use. Overall disappointing and wouldn’t class the hotel as 4 star.
If you get a room in the Waterhouse, it feels like a prison. A trek to the restaurant and bar. The building has no character or personnel working, you must walk to the main check in area for any service. The Waterhouse is nothing like the main building.
Location is stunning, could spend hours looking around the grounds. Room was lovely, bathroom a little small but definitely still fit for purpose. Great to have use of pool/sauna and gym which weren’t busy at all. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful day and night. Bar staff were friendly but could do with some additional support with serving, order taking etc. there was a wedding on when we arrived however did not effect our stay and didn’t hear any noise. Didn’t try any of the food available at the bar or evening meals but the breakfast was really nice and exceptional allergen awareness and as a coeliac lots of choice. Would definitely return and stay again but for potentially 2 nights to be able to enjoy the grounds and surrounding areas. Definitely worth the stay ☺️
We did not realise that this hotel had separate “wings” and we ended up in a nice Travelodge building. This was clean and fairly quiet but quite a trek to the restaurant.
The shower in the room was oddly positioned so you couldn’t turn it on or off without drenching yourself. However water pressure and temperature were excellent.
When we arrived we were told we couldn’t use the pool until later because of swimming lessons. This is not mentioned in the Expedia advert.
Some of the staff were excellent and hats off to the head of housekeeping at the Mews. However the bar staff were unknowingly entertaining with their loud descriptions of management. It might be a good idea not to discuss them in front of guests.
It was ok and for the price it was a nice one night stay but I would have been annoyed if we’d had to pay full price.
Latimer House very interesting history from World War 2, it was a family wedding which property was an ideal location and large enough to handle that amount of people and staff where very friendly would visit again.
Beautiful surrounding.
Hotel property is ok.
On the first day at the reception I was given a room that takes about 6 minutes to walk,I went with 2 suitcases up a steep hill till the hotel area.the weather was really really hot.was not offered for someone to give me a hand!
Then 1 flight up no lift.came there was exhausted as hell.no a/c in the rooms only small fan.did not sleep well 3 nights.in the morning 7.50 a.m working was going on on the roof really loud noise..so could not enjoy some peacefull sleep in the morning.
All of this , ,I would not come back to this place.
The staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant was really helpful and take care of my allergic condition which was serious and I didn’t expect that I would find something to eat at the beginning. It was a lovely dinner that thanks to the chef and staffs. They are really excellent. The restaurant is cosy, and welcoming.
