"We loved our stay in germfask! Cabin had everything you needed and was very comfortable both inside and out. We loved relaxing by the fire at night looking at the stars. Nice base to explore eastern/central UP"

"The room was very clean and comfortable. I think that our room had been recently refurbished and was in excellent condition. We were up on the second floor, with a beautiful view of Lake Michigan and the beach. The only downside to the view is that anyone walking outside of the room could peer right in, so we didn't leave the blinds open. It would have been nice to have some type of 'one way' privacy blind, or perhaps a mirror coating on the outside of the window. We hadn't really planned to sit in the room and look outside, but that would have been a plus. The stairs to get from the parking lot up to the second floor had VERY worn carpeting. It gave a very deceiving bad impression of the otherwise nice facility. The check in area was clean and welcoming, and the receptionist was very pleasant and efficient. Breakfast was simple but adequate for grab and go."

"It was clean, and a great price. Just didn’t have a hairdryer nor coffee creamer/sugar. Nice big TV and beds were comfortable. The screen on the front door was ripped . Great price and I slept good ."

"The Lake views superb and location beautiful! Hosts very communicative and answered our questions promptly. We enjoyed the cabin, especially the screened porch which was very spacious. "Cozy is a good word for this cottage. It is COZY - ROOMY with lots of comfortable chairs and beautiful wood furnishings. There are lots of windows, too. You can view the lake from four rooms - the living room, the front room and two bedrooms. My husband and I loved this rental. It is well equipped, with great furniture and quality pans and dishes. There are so many places to sit in great chairs. And there is a bonus - theater-style motion seating. After a long day outdoors you can relax, put your feet up and watch a movie. We had no issues and highly recommend this cottage. Communication with the owner is quick and check in and out was easy. The welcome binder is very helpful, filled with any information you may need.
