"Lovely extraordinary serene spot amid a forest. Exquisite Japanese gardens and a thoughtfully furnished home. Incredible bed. So many amenities! Five minutes from great wildlife viewing in Sooke Bay, charming Pedder Bay, and beaches. A short drive into Victoria, 1.5 hrs to Botanical Beach. Incredible."

"The host Loretta was organized and efficient. The view was breathtaking. We particularly enjoyed birdwatching on the deck. The highlight was watching a flock of quail. If you have the Merlin bird app I suggest using it to explore all the different kinds of birds in the area. Lots of nuthatches, finches and grosbeaks, as well as ravens and a bald eagle. We also saw deer on the hillside beside the driveway. This is definitely a nature lover’s paradise. The trails Loretta recommended were excellent, including Aylard farm regional park. We also rented electric bikes from a local company and rode the Galloping Goose. We also did a Rush Kayaking tour and had a wonderful time seeing the harbour seals. The tour guide was fantastic."

"We really enjoyed our stay! Beautiful property, spacious suite, and accommodating for our dog. Would definitely stay again. Our two teen girls shared the sofa bed and said it was the most comfortable sofa bed they’ve had. Hosts are very responsive and welcoming."

It's clear he takes great pride in creating a relaxingand memorable experience for his guests.The accommodations were spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully appointed, with everything we needed for a perfect getaway. Waking up each morning to the breathtaking ocean views was unforgettable, and the peaceful forest setting made it feel like a private sanctuary.One of the highlights was the incredible wildlife all around us. We were delighted to see deer wandering through the property, quail scurrying by, and adorable bunnies hopping about. It added such a special touch to an already magical setting.The serenity of Seaside Cove is something you truly have to experience. Whether we were enjoying our morning coffee while taking in the view, listening to the sounds of nature, or simply unwinding after a day of exploring Sooke, every moment felt peaceful and restorative.Thank you, Scott, for your outstanding hospitality and for sharing such a beautiful place with your guests. "This is a fantastic place to stay on the Island. We were planning a trip to visit Victoria, but after viewing options in the city we fell in love with this ocean font retreat. It's worth the 40 minute drive to experience the cozy quiet away from the city. The house has everything you need to enjoy your stay. If you're worried about forgetting something in town there is a convenient small market just minutes away with two excellent food truck options and grocery staples. If that doesn't have what you need, Scott is an excellent host and was very accommodating in helping out with equipment and incidentals. I would recommend this place to anyone who loves nature and privacy."
