"I don’t know how this property rates an average 9.0 review. My experience was not good. The room was dirty (full of pet hair like it had not been vacuumed). The “breakfast” consisted of packaged breakfast bars and coffee. The workout room was one treadmill and one elliptical. On my last night, an alarm sounded for three hours (4 am to 7) in the maintenance office across from my room; the front desk said they could not do anything to stop it. Honestly, this experience has me questioning whether I can trust the scores on here. Worst part - it was graduation weekend so I paid a LOT for the room and was stuck with it."

"We booked a two night stay for graduation weekend. There was no hot water in the hotel. I called front desk the first night and was told it was a problem with the entire hotel. This was false. Our friends on the first floor had hot water. We were on the third floor. Second day, I was told it was just a problem that was supposed to be fixed but wasn't yet. The front desk staff took my number for management to contact me. They did not."

"The Boxly Place Inn truly felt like a warm, welcoming retreat in Louisa, Virginia. This charming house, built in the late 1800s, is packed with character and a sense of history. It shows some wear from the years, but it’s still incredibly cozy and inviting. The hostess who greeted me was lovely, giving me a personal tour and sharing some interesting stories about the building, which made my visit feel special and unique. Overall, it was a wonderful experience—relaxing, comfortable, and just what I was hoping for, exceeding all my expectations."

It is quite calm and soothing to spend any amount of time in there. Throw in glass elevators that overlook the atrium, and a number of rooms with an interior view, and you've got an extraordinary experience waiting for you. "
