Absolutely the CLEANEST budget motel we have ever stayed in! All the furniture and facilities were kept in immaculate condition. Very impressed for a place so affordable. Booked the place primarily because it was walking distance from the OC Fairgrounds. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Will definitely stay at again!

The Star is a bare bones affair. It's a great place if you're in town for a concert or a night or 2. You get cable TV, comfortable bed & clean shower & bathroom. The area has improved greatly over the last several years, you can walk at most times of the day or night w out incident. There are several eateries all within walking distance and the area is serviced by the OCTA bus's 71 & 178.

The check-in staff was great, for an inexpensive hotel in an expensive area it's pretty darn nice and clean. The neighborhood does leave a little bit to be desired but that's not the hotels responsibility.

Generally good choice!

The room is spacious and very clean. It's very quiet at night. The staff is very friendly. The only thing I complained is the slow wifi.
