Wonderful Grade II Cotswold Stone Cottage in Perfect Location

"Wonderful charming cottage (part of a row of homes like most are) literally just a few steps from all of the main attractions of the high street (excellent restaurants that are quite reasonably priced and varied in type), and other shops (and a great used book store). The location is quiet both day and night. The facilities are excellent with a full kitchen and greatly appreciate some treats that were in the refrigerator (milk, chocolate and wine!). Host was responsive at all times. Hope to return to chipping campden which in my opinion is the best all around town to stay in the Cotswolds (not over run with tourists, great facilities including 2 small well stocked markets open until 10 pm, and rows of charming houses and of course the footpaths!). Hope to return soon!"

"Loved the staff and ambiance of this old hotel. Multiple old buildings have been combined into a complex and it is pleasant and comfortable. The food was excellent and loved sitting on the outside area with a drink in the evening."

"We had a lovely time in this Chipping Camden cottage. It was convenient to the rest of Cotswolds, Oxford and Blenheim Palace but village was not crowded. We enjoyed the people, the restaurants and the shops. There is a bakery with coffee and gelato right next door to the cottage!"

"Lovely cottage at terrific location. Cottage is exactly as in the pictures and spottlessly clean. Beds are comfortable, shower is great. Living room has somewhat outdated furniture but is comfortable and cozy. Kitchen has everything one needs for convenient stay. Also the parking is great. The location is unbeatable- just behind high street so everything is within walking distance, restaurants, small coop, shops- but the cottage is vey quiet. We very much enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it. Owner is also very friendly."

"Our stay was ok. Delicious breakfast. Great location but we have a couple gripes; the noise from the restaurant cleanup once that closed. It’s easy to forget guests may be trying to get sleep when the restaurant crew are trying to cleanup and get home. Just was a little noisy. The bigger issue was the neighbors automatic lights kept going on and off all night lighting our room up off and on all night. That should to be addressed somehow by the owners of this B&B."

"This was such a lovely place to stay during our trip to the Cotswolds for a wedding. It was just my husband and me, but after several days in small hotel rooms, this property was a treat. We loved the fact that we could walk to Chipping Campden--and what a gorgeous town it is! The home itself set up perfectly and had everything we needed. The owners were kind and attentive but not ever-present; there is a nice separation between the cottage and the main house where they live. Since we did not have a car, we arranged taxis to get to other destinations as well as the wedding; had a great experience with Broadway Taxis. Shout out to our host, Helen, for shipping my husband's wallet to us after he lost it in the house (it had fallen in a kitchen drawer). Highly recommend!!!!!!"
Buckthorn Cottage Chipping Campden

"What a wonderful base for a holiday in the Cotswolds. Firstly the property manager, Ali, who could not have been more helpful. Advising we arrived at Heathrow at 7am and could we have earlier access she wrote come straight here! Only later did she realise that we may be there at 10 did she ask what time we might arrive. I appreciated her kindness and said midday . We arrived at 1pm, parked in our designated spot (ours for the duration) and went inside to find everything neat, clean and welcoming (particularly the cake and milk). From this comfortable, well appointed, home we toured, walked and relaxed. The Noel Arms is so close that hot chips were still too hot to eat when we brought them to eat in the small but secluded garden. The narrow steep staircase is not a problem and the ceiling is anything but low. I am elderly and still over 6feet tall but had no problem. The bathroom was not an English bathroom of old with intermittent hot water and indifferent drainage The shower, with plentiful water, came from above your head. It is tempting to give a rotten review so that we can come again easily in the future; that would be unfair but we do intend to do so. Don’t tell your friends until you have secured your booking."
