Everything is well thought out, even provided a torch to use if you are out late. Welcome fruit and water in the fridge in the room and an extensive choice of hot drinks available to make. Fresh milk available in the room too. Very comfortable stay and wide choice of food for breakfast all freshly prepared."

"Hotel was perfect location for getting to the lake and getting round the local bars/restaurants and shops. The view from the terrace was stunning and the hotel had lovely architecture. The room was ideal and lake view was gorgeous. Spiderwebs and bugs in the high ceilings were the only thing that let it down (we were staying in room 72). Breakfast had good options and majority of it was lovely. Only comment was the black pudding didn’t seem like it was cooked properly. We ate in the restaurant one night and couldn’t complain at all. I had the fish and chips and was one of the best I had. My partner had the mushroom risotto which was also lovely. But would definitely recommend and stay again"

"Hotel in an ideal location for centre of town, close to railway station. Ideal to walk to parkrun in 30 mins. Dog friendly hotel. Some noise from city centre, but not too bad considering a Friday evening. Bathroom in need of an upgrade but was spotless and did not detract from pleasant stay. Staff very friendly and helpful. Carpark monitored on cctv. I would recommend and definitely return"
