"We stayed at Le Grand Bassin Guesthouse for one night before picking up our Le Boat for a 10-day cruise east. I can say without hesitation that we had a perfect stay! We arrived on Castelnaudry by train, and then walked to the guesthouse, so of course we were behind schedule. Sophie waited patiently for us and, on our arrival, called Chez David in town to make sure we would get a table for dinner. Sophie is an exceptional host, and our room was clean and comfortable. "La Bonne Planque is totally unique. Staying here was one of the best experiences we have had on our Europe trip. The setting right on the canal was beautiful and the perfect stop for cyclists on the Canal du Midi. Our host made us feel so welcome. We had delicious local food and wine for our evening meal and a lovely breakfast."

"We really enjoyed our stay, with six of us staying comfortably in the house. The house was easy to find, on the outskirts of a small village and surrounded by peaceful countryside. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly and had prepared drinks and snacks for our arrival. A small issue with the Wifi was resolved on the same day with no further problems.
