"I enjoyed my stay at Harrahs. The hotel was nice and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. I ordered room service food from the grill which arrived quickly and tasted fresh. The only thing I was wondering was why The Bridges didn't have room service. I did go to Bridges for breakfast and it tasted fresh and flavorful. I enjoyed the casino with had a good selection of slots, but I would stay there even without gaming. I enjoyed it very much."

"This property has a 7.6 rating on the Expedia website - this needs to definitely be updated. When driving into the property the weeds around the property were 4-5 feet tall and limbs (some relatively big) had fallen from a tree and were just left there. The hotel smelled musty and smoky. We were given a room on the second floor. When we got on the elevator, I noticed that the inspection had expired in May 2026 (we were there Sep 2026). "The home was just as advertised, beautiful and clean! It’s a slightly older home that has been renovated but still a great stay for the price. Not a lot to do in Metropolis but we were in Paducah the majority of our time here. Very easy drive. There is construction on the bridge from Illinois to Kentucky so keep that in mind if traveling at heavy traffic times."

"First and foremost... The host is absolutely wonderful! Contacted me before we drove down, to make sure we had everything we needed, and made sure if we needed anything she was available. The house was amazing! The layout was humongous kitchen, with a dining room attachment area, 2 huge bedrooms, two full baths and beautiful deck that overlook the lake, and kayaks you can use if you wanted to, in the lake.The area that we were at does not have good cell phone reception, the road we drove in on...

"The cabin was overrun with mice. Within an hour of being there we saw mice run out of the room and back in. The hot tub was filled right before we arrived so it was 70 degrees. The sauna doesnt operate properly. Then when going to bed we realized the pillows and sheets were covered in mouse feces. We left and drove home at 10 pm first night. VRBO wont refund us so watch out everyone. What a scam. "

"The host was very welcoming calling ahead and leaving us a little gift for our anniversary. This is our 2nd time staying at this property. We loved it so much the first time. There were a few disappointments this time. There is a different hot tub which is smaller and not quite as comfortable. The swing by the lake is no longer there. However, the biggest disappointment was that the back porch is no longer screened in. So we had to use bug spray to sit out there to not get bit up by mosquitoes."
