"The staff were great! For a lower budget motel we had a pretty decent stay. Was a quiet place to sleep before heading out at 6am. Can’t say anything about breakfast because we left before it starts at 8am. The pool was nice but my family kept slipping on the hot tub steps so watch out for that, it’s very slippery!"

"We loved the balcony which was right next to the beach and ocean - no roads or buildings to ruin the view. Shower was amazing with good pressure. Room was very clean. Electric firepits outside with chairs were very nice. We didn't use the pool but it looked clean. They served a smoked salmon chowder soup at 5 pm that was free and cookies at 7 pm. Delicious. Staff was very helpful and friendly. My only complaint was the entry down into the parking garage was a little steep and our sedan scraped on the pavement."

"Hotel Sylvia is a themed experience. It pays homage to Sylvia Beach, who owned a bookstore in Paris at the start of the 20 century and knew luminaries such as Hemingway and James Joyce. Each room is either a literary genre or author. Our room was very pretty and stylish, But there was not enough space for our things and surfaces to put things on. The side of the bed was too crowded by the wall and made getting in and out difficult. We ate breakfast at the restaurant. It had a great view but the food was pedestrian— it tasted good, but predictable. The location right on the beach and the history of the building was stellar."

"Alex, who was the hotel reservation desk staff was excellent. He made sure we had everything we needed. Some of the inside areas could’ve been dusted a little better, but otherwise we had a good stay."

"Enjoyed our weekend getaway to the coast. Hotel is located one street away from the beach, good restaurants and food spot near by. Staff were polite and friendly. Breakfast was filling. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Would choose Comfort Inn over Quality Inn."
