"They really need to keep people at the desk. Should not have to chase down a rep at the desk. You had a note hanging up about maintenance that was going to happen on a holiday weekend and that we had to give access to our room. I asked if they were coming in because I had my valuables in the room. The lady said they were coming in so we had to take our laptops and stuff with us just to find out they never even came in our room. You need to have a better schedule for such things especially on a holiday weekend. Got a text asking how things were going and when I responded regarding this of course nobody responded. Just not an ideal way to spend our trip."

"An absolutely wonderful home for a family getaway! Convenient location nestled in the hills of Newport, but close to shopping center and The Estate at Sweetwater Creek if you are in town for a wedding. We had 4 adults and 3 children (under 6 yrs), and it was just the perfect amount of space and comfort. The hostess reached out to us to let us know they were available to address any issues we may have come across, but we had no problems at all! The hot tub was an added bonus.The snacks, water bottles and coffee pods were an added touch of hospitality to this stay!We fully intend to visit The Rustic Retreat on our next venture to Tennessee!!"

"Overall a great experience. Wish there were 2 showers, but that's on us for not checking. Cost was okay for the amenities, byt it is honestly cheaper for a hotel. Ehat hotel, though has a yard, drive, and pristine views of fireflies at night? 4/5 stars for us!"
