"I’ve been here for the past few years. At start it was amazing however I’ve noticed a lot has changed: - Staff are less friendly - Water is not free in the room. (1 can of water when you arrive only) - wear and tear not being fixed in the room - ripping off customers with drinks and ice cream (£24-35) for 2 cocktails or a small glass of wine. The staff offered to start the heater, which we accepted, and a box of wood was provided for self-servicing the fireplace. "Stayed at Hotel Alta Montaña and it delivered exactly what you want from a mountain base. Clean, quiet, and well run. The staff are genuinely welcoming, not just polite, which makes a difference when you’re staying a few days. The views are outstanding, especially sitting above the cloud layer at around 1,400 meters. From a cycling standpoint, the location is hard to beat.
