"This hotel has so much character and located right in the heart of the Concepcion area of Valparaiso. So many things to see and yummy restaurants nearby with amazing views of the ocean. The staff is very friendly and will go out of their way to help you. We rented a car, so needed parking. Their recommendation of a nearby garage had a bonus of a valet to bring our car and even pick us up at the bottom of the hill when we could no longer climb stairs, all for a great price! ! Overall a very good experience for us. "

"Amenities were poorly maintained, not the cleanest, and lacking furniture. That said.it was the only place available, the bed was clean and we were close to most things. Antonio was great to deal with. with a little vision and effort this could be a cute place."

"Every member of staff was excellent, so kind, helpful and efficient! We were switched to a more comfortable room at no extra cost and we absolutely loved our new room. The hotel restaurant is fantastic, eagerly accommodating my gluten free diet. We loved the pool and hot tub and chatting with other guests. We highly highly recommend Casa Higueras!!!"

"This was the best place I could have chosen for my week long visit to Valparaiso! Set atop a small hill a mile south of Sotomayor Square the guest house is in a more quiet neighborhood. This area is convenient for visiting the UNESCO areas, but much more peaceful and safe for walking around. The room (I chose #3) had a view of the garden/ courtyard and was always cool and comfortable even in the hot weather. Every morning there was a delicious breakfast and the hosts were very friendly and helpful. Located on the corner is a lovely cafe, and many more shops and cafes and restaurants are located a couple of blocks away. If I am so lucky as to visit Valparaiso again I will definitely be staying here! "
