Beautiful and large apartment in great location, overlooking Ponte Vecchio

The apartment lies in one of the neatest areas of Florence downtown, called Oltrarno, in a neighborhood with lots of restaurants, arts and crafts shops and walking distance to all the major monuments and churches.
What makes it unique and stunning is the specific location, waterfront, along the Arno river and with an incredible view of the Ponte Vecchio, just a few meters away. All the living areas, including the dining room face the river and the Ponte Vecchio while the bedrooms are on the other side of the apartment, on Borgo San Jacopo.
There are 2 double bedrooms and a single bedroom, each with its own bathroom, all with shower. There is air conditioning in the living room and in the three bedrooms. There is a laundry room with washing machine, tumble dryer and sink.
All utilities are included in the rental fee, the only extra fee to pay at check-in in cash is the tourist tax which is 5,50 euro per person per night up to 7 days.

This apartment was excellent in some respects and less so in others. Excellent aspects include the location (literally steps from the Pontevecchio), beautiful view of the Arno, large size, functional washer dryer, and cooperation from the host. I’m going to note some drawbacks, but these attributes should not be overlooked. Drawback #1 is street noise making it difficult (verging on impossible for some members of my family) to sleep: the apartment is on the second floor (1 level above the street) and despite our diligent efforts to close the shutters, etc. sleep was a real issue. Drawback #2 was “the little things”: an unpleasant odor in 2 of the 3 bathrooms, some of the bathroom fixtures being beyond their useful lives, the parquet floor coming up in pieces in the master bed room, single bed being very small (says my 4’10” / 1.5m daughter). For a modest investment the small things could all be solved; the street noise is a more serious issue as this place will be a great value to the guest who is not troubled by the noise.

Perfect location in Florence. Walk to everything! Local restaurants were very good, steps from the Ponte Vecchi. Magnificent view of the river and the bridge. We were two couples traveling together and the space was perfect for us all. Plenty of room to hang out in the evening and relax after touring. Beware that European clothes dryers take hours! Plan accordingly.

Wow - what a great location! Spacious apartment (pictures are accurate) with a fabulous view of the Ponte Vecchio bridge and the river. It was so peaceful to enjoy coffee and snacks while watching the river activity.Great communication pre-check-in and actual check-in. The bedrooms are on the street side, and it is a busy street, so there is noise, but it was not distracting and did not disturb our sleep. Showers were powerful - much appreciated after busy days in the heat!The wifi was a little spotty - the only downside of our stay.

We had a very nice time staying here. It's a great apartment in an amazing location and a fantastic view. The place was very clean and spacious. We enjoyed coming in from the day's activities to see the beautiful view of Ponte Vecchio and listen to the music. The air conditioning worked well, which was a major plus in July! Due to its location, the apartment can seem noisy at night, but we didn't mind too much. It did bother my daughter a little, at night, who stayed in the room with the single bed, which was facing the street. It also wasn't as smooth of a check in as I would have liked. We got handed off to several different people who said they would meet us at the apartment. Finallly after the 3rd or 4th change, the person who was to meet us was late in getting there, despite me sending status updates of our train arrival. So we waited in the street for 30 min with all of our luggage. The WiFi was a little weak, but Massimo was very responsive to all of our questions and concerns. Also, the place could probably use an update. However, overall, we had a very nice stay and would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic. Spacious with gorgeous views of Ponte Vecchio. Well-appointed. Perfect location if you are looking to be in the middle of everything. The unit is literally on the Arno. At night, we would open the French doors and listen to the musicians playing on Ponte Vecchio. Massimo met us in the apartment at check-in to make sure we knew how to operate the appliances, especially the a/c units, which worked great in 100 degree plus heat. He was super responsive over the 5 nights we were there. Truly a super host. Would definitely stay there again.

Great central place to stay

Fabulous location looking over the Arno and Ponte Vecchio. The living room is very spacious and perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. Each bedroom has an ensuite and there is a laundry with a washing machine and dryer as well as iron, ironing board and folding clothes horse so you don’t need to use the dryer for everything. Massimo was very prompt in responding to any queries and we were met at the time arranged for check in. There are heavy shutters on all the windows which minimise any outside noise. The street below the bedrooms can be a bit noisy at night but didn’t keep any of us awake. If you are a very light sleeper I would suggest ear plugs. I stayed here for a month with my very elderly parents (90 and 94) and it was perfect. They had no problems with access - the lift was small (as expected in Florence) but fitted 2 people and 3 suitcases with no problems. My parents were able to go out sight seeing in the mornings and rest/read in the lovely, light living room in the afternoons with a lovely water view. There was plenty of comfortable seating. The kitchen had plenty of equipment for family meals and the dining table seats six people. Plenty of glasses but a few more mugs and wine glasses would have been good! We coped just fine though. This apartment was perfect for use and would also be fine for 2 couples. The bedrooms are slightly separated which gives a bit of privacy. My adult children stayed a couple of nights and there was plenty of room.

Wonderful apartment on the Arno

We had a wonderful time in Florence. Perfect location, loved being on this side of the Arno. Nightly music on the Ponte Vecchio, surrounded by shops, food, and easy walking distance to all the fabulous things to see in Florence. Check in and check out was super easy.

Beautiful, convenient location

Fantastic location! Convenient to sights, grocery store, restaurants, and bars - even a British pub. Even though we arrived about 2100, the host met us at the front door of the apartment building, assisted with getting our luggage up one floor to the apartment, and showed us how everything worked. The apartment was clean and very functional. Check out was easy. Best part? Watching the river go by and looking at the Ponte Vecchio bridge from one of three Juliet balconies. The building common space is beautiful but not opulent. We would definitely stay here again.

Amazing Location!

Great space and wonderful location

The location of this apartment cannot be beat. It is very large and roomy space. We all really like the Oltrarno area and glad we stayed in this neighborhood. The views of the river and of Ponte Vecchio were just beautiful. We loved hearing the music from the bridge and the liveliness on the streets at all hours. This is what we were looking for our week long stay in Florence. Massimo met us upon arrival and is very helpful.

Amazing view

The apartment was very clean and spacious. The view was spectacular and you could truly feel the vibe if the city with the glass doors open. Often during our stay, there was spontaneous live music on the Ponte Vecchio and we could enjoy it from the apartment. The bedrooms back up to the street but we were not bothered by street noise. The beds were comfortable and there is a stove top coffeemaker. Lots of shops, restaurants, and groceries close and all of the attractions were close and walkable including the train station. Amenities include a clothes dryer, not just clothes washer which was great as other properties we stayed in only had washers. We visited in October, and while the temperatures were very pleasant, it was humid enough for clothes to take longer than a day to dry making the dryer very helpful. Over all would love to stay again !

Florence visit

We were very happy with our stay at this property. The space is large and easily accommodated our family. Location was fabulous. It was close to the craziness of the tourist area but right up against a quaint neighborhood we have stayed at and loved many times.
