"Absolutely fantabulous spot, remote, quiet and spectacular. The property is just what you require to enable a secluded recharge. If you are a fan of the international modern, brutal concrete and good design you will be delighted. Views are incredible & on our visit of four nights not a single sound of motorboats or a jet ski. "Not a good situation or experience with this property. We arrived at the local beach (beautiful) and enjoyed our day. At 4 pm I messaged the host to see if we could check in(check in after 4 pm on listing) and was told property not ready and to come at 6 pm and we said ok. We arrived at 6 pm to the property to find property in disarray and place absolutely nothing like posted pictures(pictures likely 5 years old). Host frantically trying to clean space with wipes and nothing ready. Beds unmade and host acting erratically. Situation felt unsafe and me and my wife left after taking a few pictures to share with vrbo to confirm our issues. We had to then drive 1.5 hours to get to another place to stay since this place is in very rural crete with winding narrow roads and limited hotels/rentals. Tried to message the host numerous times to try and get a refund with no response. Vrbo support was difficult to navigate initially but was excellent once I got to speak to a manager(3rd call). First time I have had bad vrbo experience with a property/host and hopefully last. Will be advocating for vrbo to change their pictures policy to require annually updated pictures for hosts. This would be beneficial for both hosts and guests. Obviously we can only give feedback based on our experience, others may have a different experience. "

"The Villa and location are stellar and we could not have asked for more in those regards. Upon arrival there were at least 30 flies in the unit (that is not an exaggeration), which we spent a considerable amount of time chasing down and disposing of. We then experienced 2 plumbing issues. The first one was a leaking hose on the bathroom floor in the downstairs bedroom, which was handled during the day (it was an inconvenience to have the handyman in and out a few times, but not that big a deal). The other happened during the evening in one of the upstairs bedrooms, where a toilet started to constantly pour water into the bowl.. VERY loudly!! Unfortunately the toilets are installed in such a way that you can not turn off the water and apparently nobody is coming out to help you after hours. The pair sharing that room tried plugging there ears with toilet paper earplugs which did not work. I explained that we had to get up early the next morning, but nothing was done until the next day. The lack of sleep had quite negative impact on the boat tour we had the following morning, with a few folks falling asleep during it. The location and place are beautiful, but the plumbing issue and frankly lack of caring about our situation (my last text on how to turn off the water went unanswered until the next morning). The odds of this happening during a stay are probably low, but if it does it is VERY frustrating. I would not spend this type of money on this location again."

"We were very happy with our stay here. The villa is in great condition and was very spacious for the three of us. Everything clean and in working condition.Good size pool with separate pools towelsGreat bbq area for outdoor dining, including outside fridge, however the nearest supermarket is 30 minutes away so you will need a car.Location is very quiet and no noise from neighbours."
