A beautiful hotel with an amazing room. I stayed in the Junior Master Suite and me and the wife were blown away. The bathtub is a great addition and the room is quite big with a sofa and 4-poster bed. It was honestly an amazing stay and we will definitely come back for another staycation.

Everything was lovely. Staff very welcoming, extremely dog friendly - we’d definitely go back.
Our room was excellent, wonderfully clean and comfortable. The staff were attentive and courteous. The public spaces are a little tired. The breakfast room / restaurant is basic. The parking is an absolute nightmare. Just pay for the parking permit to park on the Main Street to avoid the stress of finding a parking space.
Comfortable, clean and warm room. Lovely, considerate staff. A thoroughly enjoyable stay.
Wonderful staff, stylish atmosphere and quality beverages in the Bay Tree bar
Very clean throughout, pleasant, helpful staff, all of which are impeccably professional. Pleasant, high-ceilinged rooms.

A nice mid price hotel near the coastline.
A little disspointed we had to ask for a dog bowl and blanket after paying the extra fee and room upgrade for the dog. There was also little interest when we mentioned there was no hot water for the shower.
Overall, it served its purpose for a short stay.
Nice old hotel with friendly, very professional staff. Clean, pleasant room with high ceiling, comfortable temperature. Bed was a touch hard for my taste, but thats the only criticism I had. Breakfast was nice and great value if booked with the room.
Our room was huge and spotlessly clean, comfy beds and lovely view
Staff were lovely, in particular the bar and restaurant staff who went out of their way to get our dinner order in without a wait as they had a big booking for 28 people. We loved our stay and already planning to come back
We did a room upgrade, well worth it. Great reception for dogs. Great quality breakfast. Dogs can't come in the breakfast room but table is laid in the bar, which is nice with view over the garden. We like this hotel, bit more expensive but well worth it

Place feels like it needs a refurb as it’s looking a bit tired.
The mixer tap in our shower wasn’t working so water was very hot.

I had a lovely stay here, the rooms seem to have been refurbished since my last stay. My room was beautiful
Definitely recommend and a good price too
Great staff, clean room, well kept. Unfortunately the breakfast was very disappointing, greasy and not quality ingredients. we are vegan/vegetarian and the plant based bacon was very greasy, only small half grilled tomato and almost burned sausage. it would be great to check for fresher ingredients
Things would have been fine, except we had the hotel book us a taxi in the morning to our train, to goon to Wales.
When we were downstairs waiting at the arranged time and the car didn’t show, we asked the man at the front desk to call and check on the taxi. He kept saying no, to be patient and give it time. We explained we didn’t have time as the train wouldn’t wait and new tickets were £500.
Both my boyfriend and I asked that he just call, and he just wouldn’t. Eventually when we were about to miss the train we said no, you need to call.
He did - no taxi was booked as they promised it was the day before. Eventually we got another taxi, made it with 1 minute to spare.
When I asked him why he refused our multiple reasonable requests to do the basic thing we needed (and that the hotel said they had already done), he just said “what do you expect me to do about it?”
I expect you to call the company. He said what’s done is done and it’s not his problem.
He was rude at check in as well, but we let that go. But this was too far and he just kept telling me off saying it’s not his problem.
So honestly, ridiculous service and can seriously impede on your ongoing travel (no uber in area) because some guy who works at the front desk wants to decide what you should do as opposed to rational decision making. Unnecessary and lazy.
