"We had a wonderful stay! The only downside for us was that the ocean view rooms do not have a balcony. The rooms have a giant window looking at the ocean but there is a walkway that walks along the front of all the rooms so you see everyone walking by and they can see into your room as well when they walk by. The property also charges $60 for parking on top of the resort fee which is insane. The parking should be included with your stay. Other than that the stay was wonderful and the beach location was beautiful and quiet! We enjoyed our wine and smores by the bonfire pits. "

"I think this hotel was highly overrated with the reviews. Disappointed at the upkeep of the rooms, not as clean as hoped for. Room overall is tiny. Some staff members helpful others zero customer service. Would not return. "

"I relied on hotels.com reviews and should have done further research. It is hard to find family size rooms so we stayed despite my unhappiness with the condition of the interior of the room. I took pictures that I will send to the hotel with a list of concerns coming from someone that has been in the housing industry for 30+ years in hopes they will take the constructive criticism to improve for their next guests."

"My daughter and I get away every few months. We love Monterey, i tried Seaside because it's about 5 minutes outside of the areas we normally go to. Besides the construction at 9am and dog barking next door to us, we had a good stay. The room was quiet and cozy throughout the night. "

"Originally booked as a 2-night stay. We were so relaxed there that I booked an extra night! The staff is very friendly, and the room was in spotless condition when we arrived our first night. We opted-out for housekeeping, so nothing to review there. We felt the room was offered for a very fair price, especially since it was Easter weekend in (basically) Monterey."

"The room was pleasantly nice. I didn't know what to expect exactly from a Motel 6. Nice big beds, good rest, 3 people with 2 large beds. Clean and good deal in 2026 for about $90 per night. Free coffee in the morning in the office."
