"Amazing location "

"I rarely write reviews but this place truly deserves the best review. Maybe it’s not the 5 stars hotel but they are doing an excellent job to make guests happy. The owner of the hotel is simply efficient and successful at running a business. The place is clean and well kept. No funny odour in the room. There is a new AC unit in the room. I stayed there for 5 nights. The room was cleaned daily. The room was small but got all the necessities. Breakfast was delicious. The front desk staff was extremely helpful in guiding you with info on how to navigate Funchal, where to eat out, how to get to the airport. The location of the hotel is close to all you need: it’s in the center of Old Town, across the street from the bus stops, near marina, near the market, cafes, restaurants, stores, church. I highly recommend staying at Zarco."

"This hotel was excellent! The front desk helped us book a last minute hiking trip. Including information of how to do on our own if we decided to go the route alone. Upstairs has a cute rooftop bar overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and the mountains! It had great selection of breakfast options. Centered around the downtown historic district of Funchal, made sightseeing, shopping and plenty of restaurants to choose for dinner fantastic. Perk to our trip was the Festival of Flowers with cultural activities and events during our visit."

"We had a great experience at the Savoy, its beautiful and staff was very friendly and helpful. Most importantly, its location is perfect, easy to explore surrounding attractions. Breakfast was excellent, with great variety. Staff were super good. Will definitely recommend it highly."

"I can’t rave enough about this hotel!! Parking included, fantastic and knowledgeable staff, unbelievable brunch/breakfast and the room was just outstanding. Reception was so patient with all my questions. Female staff really spent time with me and gave me the best advice. I really wish I remembered her name but she is exceptionally good at her role. I do wish there was a bottle opener in the room instead of having to get it from the front desk but that’s a small suggestion. "
