"We asked for a baby cot and the staff kindly provided it. They helped us carry our luggage upstairs. The elevator is small, so if you have larger luggage you may need to make multiple trips. We received a complimentary upgrade, which was very kind of the staff. It helped greatly with our small toddler. The property is in a fantastic location and is very walkable. I recommend it. "

"After a long and exhausting journey, we finally arrived at the hotel around 1 AM due to a delayed flight. Unfortunately, the experience at reception was extremely disappointing. The older woman at the front desk was incredibly rude and claimed she could not find our reservation under my name. Even after I clearly showed her the confirmed reservation on my phone, she refused to acknowledge it and acted as though the situation was entirely our problem, seeming fully prepared to turn us away. After some difficult back and forth, I asked if there were any rooms available for the night. Clearly annoyed and rolling her eyes, she said there was only one room left and made us pay for it again, even though the reservation had already been fully paid through Expedia. Thankfully, Expedia’s customer service was very helpful and managed to get one of the charges refunded the next day. Sadly, the receptionist’s behavior left a very bitter impression on us. She was by far the rudest hotel employee I have ever encountered, and honestly one of the rudest people I’ve ever met. Communication was also difficult because she spoke very little English, though enough to make us feel completely unwelcome. It completely ruined our first impression of Belgrade. It’s unfortunate because the hotel itself is actually very nice — the rooms are comfortable and the location is excellent, right in downtown. However, the hotel seriously needs to reevaluate its night shift front desk staff."

"The staff is so friendly and made my birthday celebration happier. They were very helpful in adjusting our different check-in schedules and providing us with useful information, mainly regarding public transport. The breakfast was good, but it was the same everyday. So I’d be happier to see more fruits. Their Spa area is wonderful and private, providing us to start the birthday celebration sooner."

"This property has a great location if you want to stay central and the food during breakfast is good. What is very disappointing is the staff. There was no assistance by anyone when I arrived around 5pm. I would understand if I had come in the middle of the night but I came at the decent time and receptionist offered to help only after I already brought in all my luggage. He passed by as I was entering and just walked off. I stayed here for or 5 nights and my room was not cleaned even once, only towels were exchanged and the bed was made on daily basis. I had to request for the sheets to be changed and to get fresh tea cup and water glasses after my 3rd night. I thought that the cleaner would get a hint to clean the room and the toilet but I was wrong. She didn’t do anything else but changed the sheets and replaced glasses and a cup. My worst experience was during breakfast. I was about to pour myself a glass of yogurt (Serbian liquid version) when the whole jug spilled over my arm, pants and shoes because it was not closed properly by the staff who refilled it previously. Staff at the reception was informed about the accident but seemed to be disappointed that I had to go for a meeting right away and could not wait for her to figure out how fast my clothes could be cleaned as I was leaving the next day. I have to highlight that there is one gentleman who welcomes the guests to breakfast who is always helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, on this day he was not there."

"Mama Shelter Belgrade is awesome. To start, it's located inside of a massive 4 or 5 level retail mall. The former is within a vibrant shopping plaza which happens to be across from Belgrade Fortress Park. My point here is that it is centrally located. The staff is professional and cordial. My room was tastefully appointed with everything I needed and the lobby doubles as a bar/restaurant/lounge with live music. The strange thing is that there's no awkward transition between hotel check-in and visiting the bar/restaurant. It all works seamlessly. I strongly recommend Mama Shelter Belgrade and when I Belgrade next. I plan to stay there again. Cheers,"

"We loved the location of this hotel, right on the Republic Square, in the heart of the action. There was construction going on so the entrance was hard to find, signage was poor. The hotel needs to give a heads up to how to get to the hotel. We were also there during Marathon Weekend - very fun for all of the activity, the start/finish line right out our hotel window. The room was good, plenty of space, we like the safe/fridge. The young lady at the front desk was VERY helpful at check-in and check-out when we had to find a way to a taxi through all of the Marathon road closures. She was impressive - keep her!"

"Location of hotel is great*. Staff was wonderful. Room was a good size for 1, probably also comfortable for 2. Black out drapes worked well. Bed was a little firmer than I would like but that's just my preference, nothing was wrong with it. Shower had decent water pressure. The hair dryer provided was pretty weak though. Rules in the welcome book says no food delivery allowed but the hotel is surrounded by restaurants so that wasn't a big problem. *My only complaint isn't really the hotel's fault. I happened to stay there during the expo so from 8am-11pm there were voices, music and bass coming from many speakers which was quite loud inside the room even with all the windows closed! You couldn't escape the noise. "
