If I could give 10 star review to the owners/staff I’d give it. They are all very kind and friendly and were willing to make my stay easier/better at every opportunity.. arranging early dinner, adding a lunch booking late, chatting to us about visits we were planning in the area.. the list is endless. The property is beautiful, the service is exceptional and the owners/staff are lovely. And the food is delicious. Highly recommend.

Very quiet and relaxed property. Beautiful Tuscan views. Well located for several Tuscan towns. Staff very friendly and attentive. Continental plus breakfast with high quality options. Only negative comment: the location is rural and subject to insects. They should provide screens for all windows.

Best 3 day stay of our 17 days in Italy!

Andrew and Anthony were awesome. They accommodated us at every turn. We did not have a car, they shuttled us to a local restaurant. We did not have food, they cooked for us. They made us drinks, suggested wines and helped us enjoy the beautiful scenery of the rolling Tuscany landscape. Our Stay here was wonderful, just not long enough.

Perfect. Such a beautiful property and wonderful owners. 🥰The breakfast was excellent. We arrived late and the owner nicely waited and welcomed us. He booked us a wonderful restaurant that had excellent food, service and price. ☺️ Since we were late, the owner's wife suggested that we stay longer the next day without extra charge!🥰 Unbelievable kindness and hospitality.❣️ We were only sorry that we were there for a short time, we will definitely come back!

Our stay at Il Defizio was relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable. The location is quiet with beautiful views of the rolling Tuscan hills. The complementary European breakfast was fresh and the service was excellent. Many Tuscan towns like San Gimignano and Volterra were a short drive away. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our short stay. We only regret not staying longer. Clean and well preserved. The hosts are friendly and gave us an excellent service. The breakfast and dinner was excellent ! We’ll be back for sure. Don’t hesitate to book at Il Defizio, you won’t regret it.

Beautiful property, but there was no toilet paper or shower curtain in one of the bathrooms, and no soap or shower gel/shampoo in either bathroom. When asked for it, the staff said it was not provided because our booking was with one of their properties rather than one of their “hotel rooms”. Expecting to bring your own toilet paper, soap or shower curtain to a property that you pay a hotel rate for is a bit insane in my opinion.
