"The location was great but the view from the room was AMAZING! It is an older property but well maintained and comfortable! The room was not luxurious but it was clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast was great! "
"Amazing property and location - just exactly what we were looking for - walking or driving to the beach every day - listening to the ocean and walking on the rocks and through the woods - truly magical. "
"Great place! - we traveled for business, and it was only me staying overnight - not a planned vacation, just a last-minute arrangement - but so surprised at the beauty of the surroundings; the endless beach, the clear ocean so pristine and quiet - and the inn staff was so very pleasant - room was impeccably clean, quiet, just the birds - there is a restaurant right adjacent with fresh sea food, I did not have the time to check it out but it looked lively (next time) over all it was a surprised finding! Beautiful place!"
Waterfront retreat with private dock, hot tub, sauna and spectacular gulf views
10/10 Excellent
"From our "Point of View" this is one of the most wonderful homes in all of Maine. From the beautiful home to the unbelievable views to the dock on the bay to the kayaks to the basement game room to the solo stove firepit and hot tub and sauna to the amazing Reid State Park beach up the road to the authentic and delicious Five Islands Lobster Pound 5-minutes away.... we couldn't have asked for anything more for our family vacation to Maine.... we even cooked mussels that we harvested off the dock with a recipe shared by our host, Jill! Jill was super responsive to our questions and text messages and her attention to details and hospitality practically made us feel like family. We didn't want to leave and are already planning our return to the wonderful Georgetown Island! Thank You, Jill! "
Wiggleswick Cottage; A Dogs Welcome Certified Property!
10/10 Excellent
"This was undoubtedly one of the best properties we've booked. Spotlessly clean - you honestly wouldn't know it was a dog-friendly place unless you read the listing. Folks that aren't even traveling with their 4 legged friend would still be pleased!! The communication and emails leading up to our trip with Sara , the host, was far and above the best experience we've had - she had provided ideas for dog-friendly places to visit , eat etc., and all were perfect - as well as a digital guidebook with answers to every possible question you may come up with during your stay. She truly has gone above and beyond with the property so that her guests (and their 4 legged friends) have the most magical get-away. The cabin is super cute and spacious. 2 huge bathrooms, good sized bedrooms, clean and well-equipped kitchen (wither everything labeled), beautiful wrap around deck and expansive yard (there's even a dog agility course!). The little trail down to the dock/water was well maintained and lit and not too far from the house. The Dock was brand new and the view from it was 10/10. We didn't use the grill but there was a charcoal grill and outside table perfect for a BBQ. Comfy beds (humans and dogs too ) in each room. Fans in each room and great breeze thru the downstairs at night. Plenty of towels/toilet paper etc. Saw lots of deer in the yard / on the road to the cabin. We really wish Wiggleswick was our own!! Thank you to Sara, who should be awarded the best VRBO host. 11/10 stars!"
Enjoy the stunning views while relaxing on the deck at East Ledge Cottage
10/10 Excellent
"This cottage is in the perfect location, surrounded by water and an easy walk to Five Islands Lobster. Every room was really comfortable, with plenty of space to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. We’ve never stayed in a more well stocked rental, there is nothing they haven’t thought of. The beds were all great, and having several bathrooms was great. We loved sitting outside watching the boats go by and the birds, mink and deer. Could not recommend this spot more highly, perfect!!"
Charming Oceanfront House with Deck, Cozy Loft, and Direct Beach Access
4/10 Poor
"The amenities on Travelocity site does not match the amenities Vacasa sends to you after you book. No washer, no (working?) central heating (1 electric oil heater on wheels provided). Safety lists deadbolt lock but only 2 of 5 doors have a deadbolt, 2 doors have no locks or latches. Several windows also don't have locks. We didn't have anyone in our party willing to try the shower but the stains downstairs hinted it might leak. The house is acrossed the street from the water, not on the water. But it does have a lovely view and there is a small sandy beach just down the road. Not many dining options during the week, maybe due to it being June rather than July or August but every restaurant nearby was closed on Mon, Tue, Wed."
