"We booked the luxury caravan with a hot tub, although unfortunately we wouldn’t describe it as “luxury”. There were a few things that we felt needed attention. The radiators in the bathrooms were rusty and really need replacing, the grouting was mouldy, and one of the shower screens had mould around the bottom. The white railing around the patio was also loose and needs securing. The hot tub had supposedly been cleaned before our arrival, but there were what looked like small stones in it, which was disappointing. One side of the bed had USB ports that didn’t work, and unfortunately the dishwasher didn’t seem to clean the dishes properly. On the positive side, the kitchen was very well equipped. Despite these issues, we did enjoy our stay. This was our third visit to Lakeside, although last time we stayed in one of the Lakeside cottages, which we preferred. The staff are always lovely, friendly and welcoming, and the setting is beautiful and makes for a lovely relaxing break. Like everywhere at the moment, though, we do feel that the cost of staying in the UK is getting quite expensive. We would definitely book to visit Lakeside again, but next time we will choose one of the cottages rather than a caravan."

"As a base for exploring the island The Fig Tree was a good choice. The staff were pleasant ,the room clean and comfortable, without being large. Continental Breakfast choice was adequate without having the range of a larger property, and the cooked breakfasts were good. The esplanade and a friendly pub, serving a small range of good food options on 3 nights per week were within easy walking distance,"

"The hotel is well maintain and the public areas are a pleasant place to spend time. Decor/furnishing is fun and good quality. The rooms are a good size and the bed was very comfortable. The pool area is not huge, but is a pleasant place to spend some time. Parking is limited. Sadly, I had an issue with dinner and breakfast. The website had stated that their was food available in the evening during peak season, but that was not the case. The website seems to have been updated to reflect this. Breakfast is served from 8am to 10am, which I found a little limited as I was travelling for work. Sadly, the doors to the restaurant were still closed at 8.05am, so I was forced to make alternative arrangements. Small things to fix, but overall good."

"Stayed at this property 15/08/26-22/08/26. Pauline the host replied to messages sent before our stay very quickly. She was polite and lovely and makes sure everything is ok. The barn was clean and just an absolute lovely place to stay. The location was fantastic, nothing was too far to get to and it was lovely and quiet. We had a fantastic holiday and would stay there again."
