I have stayed a the Moroccan a number of times. Really enjoy the location and parking. Rooms can be hit and miss, some are looking really tired with broken furnishings, for the money you pay you could get better down the road, however if your lucky enough to get an updated apartment it can really make your trip.

Great Location and Facilities

We’ve stayed at Moroccan multiple times primarily due to the location, cost and facilities it provides. It is a bit dated from a decore perspective, and large rooms means that not everything is squeaky clean, but these are mor than overcome by the location. Staff are really friendly too

We absolutely loved our stay at Breakfree Moroccan Apartments. The staff are very welcoming and helpful, the location is great and the view was amazing from our 3 bedroom apartment. We didn’t need a car as the public transport is so good. I would definitely recommend staying at these apartments.

There is no better review than to already book again for next year. We were so grateful to have met the General Manager, Ricardo, the excellent front staff personnel of Courtney and Asha. Having travelled constantly for the past 15 years to over 55 countries, we know the difference between good and great; the 3 mentioned above provided us with everything that made our stay at the Moroccan fantastic. A spectacular view of the ocean, a large balcony, and a generous living space/kitchen stand out as features. We are so happy to report the BreakFree Moroccan as a place to stay long term or for a short visit to the Gold Coast.

Great spacious rooms, across from beach. Short walk to Cavil mall. Pool and spa inside and out. Sound proof rooms when you shut the windows and doors. We stayed in 294 on the 21st floor, amazing views and wrap around decking. A shame it's all a bit dated and alot of maintenance needs to be done to the room but it wouldn't take much for the owner to fix. Had a couple of issues with the room which reception fixed straight away.

Location great. Condition ok but dated. Double beds were simply singles pushed together so often slid apart during the night. No real kitchen essentials and cleaning products very low quantity. Pool tiles very slippery when wet and saw people slip and fall each day we were in the pool

convenient location

Freshly painted/renovated and clean apartment 31 elkhorn tower with functioning air con and kitchen utensils - for the age of the property. The third bedroom is actually a study with two sgl bed. Reception staff friendly. Only downside - 1 parking for "3 bedroom apartment". Location is great - main tourist area - walking distance to beach, tourist area with shops, bars, clubs and restaurants and cavill ave (surfers paradise). Cheap outdoor parking (jan 2025)- no shade (approx $6/day b/w 9am to 7pm at cypress garden carpark) within walking distance Not so great - noisy from the rooftop beach bar (cali bar) next building on Fri & Sat evenings.

Location is excellent. Extra charge for internet. Elevator had significant issues of not working on several days. The bedroom overhead fan did not work. Towel racks were old and bent. Pictures were missing from the walls with hooks still visible. Clean but looked worn.

View from our room was stunning, had both ocean and city views. The nightclub across the road didn't bother us. Room was clean, but outdated. Furniture needs to be updated. The serviced was average, As its not a hotel, you dont get your room serviced eveyday, and need to ask for fresh towels, toilet paper and empty the bins yourself etc. But as we didnt spend much time in the room it wasnt to bad. The kids loved the pools. Great walking distance from everything, beach just across the road. Restaurants, bars, shopping just 1 or 2 blocks away. For breakfast options, There is a buffet breakfast at the hotel next to this one for $30 a head, or a restaurant just around the block. Tram and busses only a few minutes walk. All in all it was a nice stay, good for families, but I personally wouldnt stay here again just for the service.

The apartment needs to be renovated all the windowsills are swollen, the spare blanket smells like urine ! , it needs the carpets and the couches cleaned because they smell. there is no phone to contact reception even. The tv is smaller my computer monitor, I asked reception to bring me a trolly I am a disabled person ( with a disability sticker on my car) they knew I was disabled and they said we can prepare one for you. So I had go down across the car park into reception get the trolley go back across the car park up the lift pack the trolley go back down in the pack the car go back across the car park with trolley to reception then go back across the car park to the car then drive out park the car and take the keys in. It’s quite a lot for someone who has trouble walking 👍 thanks for your help reception staff. We used to absolutely love staying at the Moroccan and this apartment has totally spoilt it for me. Please sort it out Breakfree.
