"The Bungalows was fantastic. Check in was easy and they give a quick tour of the property when you arrive. Our room was great. Left a little to be desired as far as cleanliness of the room but no worse than any other hotel. About a 3 minute walk to the beach. Service was great. They have a restaurant on premises that was very good. We had 5 different meals there and each one was very good. Free breakfast was very good as well. Plenty of parking. Gated entrance. Really nice pool, games for kids in the main lodge along with a pool table, ping pong table, and foosball. Quiet and family friendly. We definitely recommend staying at The Bungalows."

"This property is very nice and the staff are very helpful and polite. The only issue I have is the layout or design of the rooms. The rooms look like individual bungalows but they are actually two back to back. As a result the walls are thin and sound between the two rooms carries. It be great if they just made them as separate bigger spaces but it is what it is. Breakfast is very good. The place is in the more quiet area of Puerto Viejo. There is a small town at the end of the road but not much there"

"The bungalow is well equipped and with direct access to the beach. The pool is amazing and the staff very friendly. The only points to improve are the location of the parking area and that the metal roof does not have sound isolation so when it rain is very noisy."

"Casa Azul was everything that we hoped it would be, and more! The property is gorgeous, the pool was perfection, and house was spacious. We had 10 adults staying and there was room for more.Location was great as we could walk to the beach in less than five minutes and a very nice restaurant, Moca. We were able to mosey down the beach to Manzanillo for lunch and saw macaws, sloths, and monkeys along the way. One thing that was a pleasant surprise was we were able to get Ubers without any hassle. It would take them about 20 minutes to get to Casa Azul, but if you plan your time it worked out great. Safety was never a concern at Casa Azul, the kitchen is fully stocked, the outside bar/grill area is a bonus and the outside refrigerator was a nice touch. Nothing like an ice cold beer within easy reach from the pool! A on the accommodations and location!"

"The property is managed really well. I had actually left my passport in the house and driven all the way back to San Jose without realizing it. They were very helpful in getting an uber driver to drive the passport all the way to San Jose for me. This was a big life saver. The property itself could use some TLC. The washer stopped working on the last day we were there and the hot water was not very reliable. However, the layout was amazing and made up for these minor inconveniences in a big way. You don't need to do a night tour when staying here. Just pack a flashlight and walk around. You will find every kind of tree frog there is. During the day, howler monkeys and spider monkeys are all around. And right across the road, there is a restaurant called Mocha that is really nice.The trail to the beach is a bit treacherous, but once you walk it, you have the beach to yourself. We rarely saw anyone while we were there. As a family it was great to have that level of privacy. I would definitely recommend this property for the adventurous family that enjoys unplugging and exploring."
