"Overall excellent stay at the Portland Harbor Hotel. Staff were amazing and always willing to help. The check-in process was very smooth and accommodating as they held our bags until our room was ready (which ended up being an hour before our check-in time). There was definitely some room to improve the overall appearance of the hotel - the elevator has seen better days, one of our knobs was falling off our dresser, the ice machine was practically falling apart in the common area of our 4th floor room. Also, there was literally zero ice available. I did ask an attendant and they kindly had two small bags put in the freezer but never saw ice in there again. PHH is one of the better hotels in Portland and for a time I believe the top one by far from what we there have told me. But it’s time for a bit of a refresh if you are going to charge higher than normal prices and be considered for one of the best hotels in Portland."

"Great location. Modern. Spacious room. Friendly staff. Poor communication with cleaning staff (we got more room cleaning than we asked for), breakfast staff overstretched, had to spend $25 extra each day to eat in hotel (mandatory daily charge whether you use restaurant or not)."

"I was annoyed at check in when they said there was a parking fee ($13/night, but still- annoying and unexpected). The “happy hour” was not as great as others we had had at the same hotel chain. The room was lovely and clean and the breakfast was EXCELLENT!"

"You get your money worth at this place. Although the place is outdated it has all the amenities you need and its very clean. The grab and go.breakfast is a plus and its very close to downtown Portland."
