"The hotel has a lovely location with a top view over the Registan. I fear it is resting on its location laurels though. It feels tired and needs some polish. The staff insisted their card machine wasn't working and required full payment in cash. I couldn't do it, and miraculously, the machine started working before check out. A professional modern hotel should do better. "

"The hotel was immaculate, 100% would stay again! A grand building with beautiful painting in the lobby, and huge array of food for breakfast, and clean rooms. Also had a sauna and pool included in our stay for free which was lovely. Also the location is ideal for walking everywhere to all the famous monuments. The BEST thing was the hotel staff at front desk they went out of the way to make us feel welcomed, and the staff are credit to the hotel. As I had my birthday there they got me a painting as I showed interested in their painting in the lobby. Such a beautiful stay, thank you so much!"

"The heater in the shower and WiFi were not working in the first room and front desk was really accommodating to switch us to another room immediately. It was a very nice stay with welcoming staff and a very nice terrace to look at the view of the area. It is also close to a few tourist attractions. I would recommend this hotel! "

"We loved our stay at Aliz and would recommend staying! The staff were incredibly helpful, especially “Tony”. Rooms were large with a terrific shower and the area is quiet was you are on the park. The one thing to note is you cannot take a car directly up to the hotel as it is on the park but is a very short walk to the street. If visiting Samarkand, this is a great hotel option!"

"I stayed at Malika Prime for several nights. The hotel is very centrally located and within walking distance of many of the main sites. My room was very clean, comfortable, and quiet. My only concern was that the wifi tended to be a bit weak. Breakfast was very good, with quite a selection of items to choose from. Everyone on the staff was friendly and helpful. I'd definitely recommend this hotel as a really good option for your stay in Samarkand."
