"All in all, at bargain pricing, the Main Street Station is a remarkably good value, especially when so much of Vegas is crazily overpriced. Entering the hotel means going through the casino, smelling of decades of cigarette smoking. They do have good ventilation but still, that odor lingers. The room was in surprisingly good shape. Very clean, in good repair, no odor, and quiet. Renovated with a modern bathroom, good bed, useful desk, big flat screen TV with about three dozen channels from satellite service. The in-the-wall ventilator worked so well that I could use it set to fan-only without cooling. You’ll find a mini-fridge tucked into cabinet, but no microwave. The only point of criticism is that the soft chair had seen better days. The brew-pub is good, with good food and good beer. The place has a dozen big screens for sports, and too much noise. Tip: Try the French Dip loaded with good meat. This building is a sister property with much larger “The Cal” across the street, connected by sky bridge. You can access the small but clean rooftop pool there (ask for key card when you check-in). The Cal has more shops, and more casino space. Location is very convenient, easily walkable to the Fremont Experience, and to the bus stops to go to airport and the Strip. The Mob Museum is just a couple blocks away, and was surprisingly interesting. I would choose this place again."

"Longhorn Casino is a bit away from the strip but it is better value compared to the exorbitant prices now-a-days hotels are charging close to the strip and the huge resort fees tucked under it. The room itself has furnitures that are a bit aged and so are the elevators(They have two). The size of the room is decent, in Vegas generally all hotel rooms are bigger than the usual and so is this one. To our pleasant surprise they gave us 4 free breakfast vouchers. We could order a good amount of breakfast items from their restaurant in the casino. The break fast was really good. The servers there were really nice and helpful. Fun fact: When you check in to the hotel there is a lucky draw spinning a wheel and you can get goodies or money to play in the casino. We got a long horn casino mug. The only critical feedback I will like to give is the receptionist in the morning was cold during in person interaction. There were no clean towels available for our second, I had called the lobby for it but they did not bring to the room. I had to go down and collect it myself. This is rather un unsual, I do not remember anytime I had to do this, usually the hotel delivers towels or soap if needed to the room. Overall free parking(yea! now a days that is rare in Vegas if you stay on he strip) and free made to order breakfast (none of that continental breakfast BS). 4* Value!"
