"Traffic very noisy through windows. Comfortable clean beds with brand new chunky pillows. Walk in shower very convenient, cleanliness a bit of an issue. Toby Inn attached was excellent with good choice and nicely cooked, both evening meal and breakfast."

"The night I stayed the petrol station next to hotel was being refurbished. That meant jack hammers and floodlights throughout the night - the poor staff didnt know anything about it until they started and were very apologetic - staff were very good. Professional, welcoming, friendly and helpfull. However - the room I stayed in was a bit grubby (lights on side of bed showed how dusty the room and carpet were). "I checked in (friendly and efficient staff) and noticed the terrible condition the place was in. The corridors and the bar area were bleak and did not give me a safe or welcoming feeling at all. The carpets in the corridors were worn out and knackered and don’t get me started on the room. Old, in urgent need of a revamp and downright depressing. Despite having paid for the night, I decided to leave and went to another hotel at the other side of town: comparable price, modern and taken care of. Best decision ever. No more Ibis for me ever again. I will not use the word that comes to mind when I think of this place, but I guess you can work it out."
